Gilberto did a great job taking on the D and setting up Defoe

Gilberto has done well to set up Defoe, just has to capitalize on these chances.

Lol did the fan come on the field while Defoe had the ball or was it after the shot?

I'm still defrosting but I'll give it a go.

Great game, but the pitch was atrocious. Lucky no one was injured. DC won the possession war but didn't have any real chances. Defoe could have had 3! Gilberto looked as good as advertised; lots of speed, and a cheeky player. Dero on the other hand has lost about 3 steps.

One minor cause for concern is our wing situation. Jackson/Rey with no depth is not good enough at this level.

All in all we are 2-0-0!!!

If he was mostly any other soccer player, they would have went down like they had been shot.

Glad to see Bradley isn't a pus!!!

What a game! The pitch was beyond terrible, but such is life if they want games in March.

Defoe, Bradley and Gilberto all played well, and I really can't believe how good this team will be in a few months when they gel better.

Jackson once again had a pretty terrible game. I haven't been happy with his play at all.

Agreed. I also feel Rey sometimes tries to do too much with the ball. It worked well this game and he created some chances, but I feel that type of aggressive play isn't always a good thing as we saw in the game against Seattle.

I was at the game too and just want to add a few things:

1) Dero is done. Hopefully he never sees the field again.
2) I did not really notice Jackson. I will not challenge other people who think he is bad though.
3) Bradley is pretty bad at set pieces. A lot of his crosses hit the first defender or did not amount to anything. I hope we have other options.
