Nice to see TFC 2nd in the standings even if it's early.
Salt Lake are having just an amazing season, they really have put it all together. Very impressive win last night.

I need to head to a match this season. I wish we had less ridiculous sponsors. Multi-level scam on the jersey and environmental destruction on the stadium.

Buddle was playing out of his damn mind for 2 seasons with the Galaxy. Nobody was gonna match that.

This Portland Timbers match is beyond exciting. Fantastic crowd. Timber Joey is a great mascot.
2-0 over Chicago already in the 38th. Team is looking for its first win. Just got their first home goals of the season as well. Chanting is Euro worthy, well done.

My Greek boy Pappa just brought Chicago back. Portland still up 3-1. Fire lucky they're not down 5 goals right now. 68th minute.

It's funny...when Buddle was with NY he looked like he had just started playing soccer, and Angel was scoring goals with ease as a RedBull.

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
TFC just plain sucks again this season. No defense whatsoever in the back, and without DeRo we are going to have real trouble scoring.
As for Vancouver, they deserved to win this weekend. Great game to watch once again.
Portland and Vancouver are both very exciting expansion teams.

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
HUGE 2-2 result in the first leg of the CONCACAF Final. Next stop is Rio Tinto Stadium where RSL has to win/tie by less than 2 goals to win it all. Good Luck CYA THERE

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
What a game last night for RSL!!
I hope they can put it all together and get a win at home to move on to the World Cup.
The altitude should help, but being without Kyle Beckerman will make it tough.

Good game by RSL last night. Looking forward to a great match tonight. I'm hoping the two young American strikers put on a show for their respective teams.
I look forward to the day win the CCL is big enough to be mentioned by major networks. This could be a great marketing opportunity for the MLS and whatever station wants to grow the sport.

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
Man, Zakuani broke his leg? His main (well, only) major footballing ability is his speed. Hopefully he doesn't lose a step. FWIW Davies is still fast as hell.
Watching the DC/NY match right now and good god DC's back four is pathetic. NY's attack is damn good but Davies is really looking like his old self which is amazing. I'm really pulling for him and his situation looks positive right now. He needs to start creating for others more up front rather than just being a target man but that will come in time.
