From what I read Giovanni Piccolomo will probably play CAM and they will place Michael Bradley at CDM. He's a player that has good pace, but his main strengths is his ability to control the ball in order to get pass his defender. At CAM his exceptional passing and positioning will be put on display as he will finally have another passer to set up our all star forwards. He maybe the key to Gilberto finally scoring a goal.

On a side note he has a picture on Instagram of himself dressed in TFC training gear. So I guess he's either on loan or on trial.

Can't wait for tomorrow's game. Will really show I think if this team can be a true contender.

A loss wouldn't be the end of the world, but we need to show we can hang with the best teams in the East at some point.

Why does Baldomero Toledo still have a job?

I'm happy we got a point on the road, but that was a shockingly bad call.

MLSE has decided to forget about the Argos and will no longer be ruining our national soccer stadium!

The future of the CFL in Toronto has been thrown into renewed turmoil after a backroom fight between Ottawa and the country’s largest sports concern.

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment – owner of the Leafs, Raptors and Toronto FC – has cancelled plans to include the Toronto Argonauts in their renovation of BMO Field.

As of 2018, this would leave one of the continent’s most historic sports franchises without a venue in which to play. Right now, they are caught in a next-level bargaining war between two much bigger players.

As ever, the issue is money.

MLSE had planned a phased, two-year renovation costing $120-million. They had hoped for financial help from all levels of government. That was to include a $10-million loan from the city, and $10-million grants from each of the provincial and federal governments.

As part of that agreement, room would be made to accommodate the larger dimensions of the CFL playing surface, as well as a promise to buy the flagging football team.

However, long after public announcements were made, Ottawa has yet to sign off on its part of the expenditure. Their apparent problem – the optics of funding sports stadiums.

MLSE provided several fig leaves to give the government cover – including parceling the money into grants for expected big events like the Winter Classic and the Grey Cup, planned for BMO Field.

MLSE argued that the construction taxes alone – an anticipated $18-million – made the deal watertight politically. The feds thought otherwise, and continued to delay.

Yup it's win win for MLSE. They will still go ahead with the renovations keeping TFC fans happy, while at the same time won't take any of the blame from Argos fans for not trying to bring them in.

Just a reminder that TFC plays Montreal tonight in the first leg of the Canadian Championship Final.

Winner moves on to play in the CONCACAF Champions League.

I doubt MLSE will get money now since the deal involved the argos.
No Argos fans really want to go to BMO as its not seen as a very good stadium and doesn't have the best location, but its better than nothing and the argos only have till 2017 to find somewhere.
Sucks that Toronto can't afford a half decent stadium like every other team in the league has now.

It has nothing to do with being able to afford the new stadium and it has everything to do with rich corporations wanting to use public $ to build stadiums that only they profit from.

I understand this situation is a bit different than the current Atlanta Braves situation but it's not that far-off.

It has more to do with the city wanting MLSE to buy the Argo's and expand BMO to be viable for a CFL field and MLSE saying," fine but only if the city pays for the expansion of the seats that the city wants".

So when the city says no MLSE says fine we wont buy the Argo's and will keep BMO a SSS which is a win-win situation for them and TFC fans.

At least that's how I see it

Well said.

MLSE comes out on top as it stands right now.

Was worried this thing was going to end 0-0.

Hopefully we can get another 1 or 2 before we have to head to Montreal.

A tie? TFC always seems to play down to the competition.

Montreal looked awful against Edmonton in the last round. I think we should have played our full strength team and buried them.

Now anything could happen, and they have the away goal bonus.

Hey thanks for asking! I was not dressed for the occasion as the weather got pretty cold in the second but it was a great game. We started out strong in the first and I thought there would of been a couple more to follow after the first goal, but the game play declined even though they are a much better team then Montreal was. Great crowd like always there was 18 thousand something. Always a great experience at BMO.
