Shocked that Defoe is scheduled to return.

I thought we would never see him in a TFC kit again.

It's a strange day today. Toronto FC is playing for it's playoff life against a Chivas team that hasn't won in 10 games and is pretty much going to fold at the end of the season.

This should be a guaranteed 3-0 drubbing; but this being TFC I'm nervous about the game.

I'm nervous too.

No points are guaranteed when it comes to TFC. We have no consistent scoring threat without Defoe in the lineup. Gilberto has finally come around, but he still disappears for long stretches.

Fantastic first half.

Up 2-0 and is should have been 3. I hope they don't let up in the second half and continue to push forward.

Could you imagine if that happened.

The city would finally fully get behind this team and make the playoffs extremely exciting. It's not happening, haha.

Good win yesterday; we really need those points. They are in decent shape to make the playoffs. Certainly they control their own destiny and with some key home dates and a game in hand we could be there.

I'll tell you one thing- if the team wins the whole GTA will get back behind them in a hurry.

There is more and more Defoe chatter out there. From the WT above - QPR and West Ham are interested.

I don't think anyone has any doubt he'll be gone before next season.

I hope there aren't any gimmick areas like patios or terraces in the new design. Just have a proper football stadium that doesn't look like it was put together with spare parts.

I am hearing that it will be a hybrid field which will be composed of grass and artificial fibers.

I like how it is now, with the skyline in the background. But, I don't mind the change, as long as there are fans to fill the extra seats. & I guess Leiweke was serious about the World Cup bid (for 2026 tho).

The current facility is getting tired quickly compared to other MLS venues. The new design looks good. I'll really enjoy not having the rain pour down a couple times per year.

A lot of fans are speculating from the pictures and features that Argos at BMO is probably going to happen. Apparently there is a rumoured phase 3 of the construction that includes tearing down the North end and the south end partially which would probably help accommodate retractable seating areas for the Argos.

It makes sense a little because at the moment they strangely don't have a roof on the north end for whatever reason.

There is also a lot of talk that it's being setup to host winter classics in the future.

The design looks pretty neat. TFC aside, BMO field needed a renovation if we were ever serious about a 2026 bid. I think there is only 2 venues in the country that can accommodate 40,000+ in attendance. That's no where near good enough to host a world cup.
