im not a big fan of his
feel like, if he doesnt score a goal, hes complete useless
he has a very low work rate
and you cant be like that, if you dont score

still, if he goes to Toronto, ill have to road trip to watch a match

Should paid more for Gerrard.
I always remember him on the highlights when watching Sportscentre.
It's like we are perhaps settling for sloppy seconds.
Was hoping for bigger names.

I'll take a better team, over better or bigger names.

I just want to see some success. I don't care who brings it.

Between him & Bradley we should have lots of USMNT fans interested.

If it wasn't about the money, he'd still be playing in England, wouldn't he?

If Giovinco can handle the physicality of the MLS, he'll go down as one of its best players. Those that don't really follow the Serie A are in for a treat.

Still reporting that the deal is close. Hopefully we know something by Friday.

Riveretti confirmed it tonight:

But I want to see another source before popping champagne. Apparently Fiorentina has been making a hard push for him. Doubt they'd give him the same money though.

Gerrard is old.

Giovinco may not be a big time name here since all we get is the EPL and El Classico, but he is a very good player - 27 years old and in his prime. Add him to Bradley who is 27, Altidore who is 25, and Gilberto who is 25, and you have core players that you can build around for a long time, or easily sell if things don't work out.

Yeah, not a big fan of his. He hasn't done much on the club level outside the Eredivisie, but he's a beast on the national level where I think he has a 3:1 games to goal ratio. But, I'm optimistic that he can do some damage in the MLS, surrounded by people he's comfortable with. It'll also help to have guys like Giovinco and Bradley feeding you the ball.

Consistant playing time will also do wonders for him.

Yeah, I think so.

He'll play as our number 2 keeper behind Joe Bendik, and is a Generation Adidas player so he's salary does not count against the cap.

For MLS & TFC it's a great signing, though it does come with some risks.

If he can net us 15 goals or more and get us into the playoffs it will all be worth it.
