I'm not normally a sky is falling type of fan but TFC is the worst team in MLS and it's not even close.

All that is left this season is for them to lose the NCC to Vancouver.

What a pathetic first half of football today.

Vancouver up 1-0 on New York 30 minutes in.

In 5 years Canada will have so many more Whitecap fans over TFC fans...

Whitecaps fire head coach Teitur Thordarson

The Vancouver Whitecaps have fired head coach Teitur Thordarson, the club announced on Monday.

Tom Soehn, who has been the club’s director of soccer operations for the past year and a half, has been named as Thordarson’s replacement. He will be on the bench when the Whitecaps face Chivas USA on Wednesday night (10:30 pm ET, watch online).

The 59-year-old Thordarson first took the reins at Vancouver in 2008 season, when the club was still in the second division. In the Icelandic coach’s first season in charge, he led the Whitecaps to the 2008 USL-1 title. His ’Caps returned to the final the following year, but lost to the Montreal Impact.

In September of 2010, he was named head coach of Whitecaps FC ahead of the club’s ascension to MLS. He made his MLS coaching debut on March 19 with a thrilling 4-2 home win over Canadian rivals Toronto FC.

However, the Whitecaps have yet to win since that season opener. They currently lie at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 1-5-6 record.

It's crazy to think winning the NCC if it hadn't been postponed would have likely saved his job.

MLS coaches dropping like flies

Chicago Fire part ways with head coach

The Chicago Fire have parted ways with head coach Carlos de los Cobos, the team announced Monday evening.

Frank Klopas, the team’s technical director since January of 2008, will serve as de los Cobos’ replacement on an interim basis. Klopas, a former Fire player who was inducted into the “Ring of Fire” in 2004, is expected to be on the bench when Chicago host Seattle this weekend (8:30 pm ET, watch LIVE online).

“Since the Fire has elected to move in a new direction with its coaching staff midseason, we wanted to ensure a seamless transition by naming Frank Klopas interim head coach,” managing director Javier Leon said in a statement. “Frank's wealth of knowledge and experience as a player, scout, technical director and coach provide an extraordinary background for him to manage the team successfully as we work towards a MLS Cup playoff spot.”

De los Cobos was hired by the Fire in January of 2010 after three years in charge of the El Salvadorean national team. Thus far in 2011, Chicago are 1-4-6 in league play and winless in nine straight, currently second-from-bottom in the Eastern Conference.

Chicago missed the playoffs in 2010, de los Cobos’ first season at the helm, after advancing to the Eastern Conference finals in each of the previous three years. It was just the second time in club history they had missed out on the postseason.

De los Cobos leaves MLS with a record of 10-16-15 in league play.

The schedule is really spread out this week, so between MLS and the Gold Cup we should all have plenty of football to watch.

not anymore ha. We've had our way with the Crew lately and I like how much our reserves have stepped up with all the Injuries and International call-ups. Our defense should be able to keep em at zero tonight.

Good game, but clearly not the result you were looking for. RSL has really fallen hard over the last few weeks.
