Long time viewer of International soccer / FIFA soccer, time to get into MLS...waiting for Toronto FC vs Whitecaps tonight. Is there any coverage I can watch in New York on TV or computer?

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
Not a very exciting game to watch but TFC gets the win 1-0 over Vancouver.
Nick Soolsma with his first TFC goal, a penalty kick in the 54th minute... Other than that both teams blew chance after chance mostly with shots well wide or way too high. Neither keeper was really tested.

Loved his goal in the 06 WC
Good for Toronto. He's by far not the Frings we saw in 2006 anymore, though.

TFC! TFC! TFC!

HUGE win for TFC over Vancouver 2-1! 3-2 on aggregate.
I am so excited! On to the Champions league!

Can't believe TFC is essentially only two wins away from third place. Considering how they have played this season, two wins a big stretch.

Personally I hope we say to hell with the MLS season and go after the Champions League title.
With only three MLS wins I think we have a much better shot at it.

Some extremely poor officiating happening right now in the RSL/NE game.
MLS needs to do something about it's officiating this offseason, it's becoming a real joke.

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
what a **** game that was, despite the poor officiating. RSL completely dominated possession that 2nd half. gave up two really bad goals on those free kicks, but i loved watching them fight back for the point.

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
I just got back from that game at the RioT, i'm glad the home crowd wasnt the only ones who thought this was poorly officiated. From what i saw, all three of NE's goals were bad calls from the ref. Even our penalty was bad.
MLS reffing this year has been really disappointing. Sad because i think this league is really starting to show promise with the talent they've brought to MLS.

RSL game last night:
Oh my living daylights of all that is shining light on the world!! That wasn't even a foul! I just watched the replay on MLSnet and it was exactly as I saw at the game. Borchard got a clean kick on the ball and it went up and clocked the guy in the face! lol Kinda funny actually.
That ref was guessing all night long. One of the worst all night long. He missed a a corner kick or two too btw that would have given RSL and chance to score.
MLS has a chance to redeem themselve of this bad ref and pull that red card off the books and they should actually fine that ref in my opinion but only because of after seeing the whole game and how bad of a guessing job he did (lots of questionable calls). That stunk RSL had to play the whole game one guy short, someone should take the fall for that and start using their line judge for advise... the lineman didn't even raise his flag and center ref pulls a red card..... unbelievable!!

Apparently Toronto FC offered Owen Hargreaves a contract.

That would be a mistake. Injury prone, and would be expensive. Also...I don't think you'll find many Hargreaves' fans in Canada.
