12 ties in 19 games? I thought that was impossible :D

Their left winger looked pretty solid against Galaxy tonight.

Frank Rost will sign in NY. As I´m a german I don´t know anything about american soccer but I can tell you that Rost is a very solid goal keeper. Over the last 7 years or so he´s been considered a top-5 player on his position. He´s 38 so he won´t be a long-term option but he certainly has 2 good years left.

Sorry about RSL edfmx86. They should have won that game, they looked like the better side in my opinion. Dallas is a very hard team to beat this season though.

So is everyone cheering for Richmond now? Would love if they made the finals, would make MLS teams really take the tournament more seriously.

Really good signing and new York needed a better keeper. It's been their weakest point all season.

Hope they keep Sutton though as the backup.

Toronto Acquires Terry Dunfield

Toronto FC announced Thursday that they have acquired midfielder Terry Dunfield from Vancouver Whitecaps FC in exchange for allocation money and future considerations.

"We are pleased to add Terry to our midfield, he is a passionate player and he will fit in well, " said Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director Aron Winter. "He has played well this season for Vancouver and we have seen first-hand what he is capable of."

Dunfield, 29, is a Canadian international midfielder that scored one goal and added three assists in 12 league games this season for Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Dunfield also scored one goal during the 2011 Nutrilite Canadian Championship in four starts. Dunfield has earned six international caps for Canada and scored his first international goal against Ecuador at BMO Field on June 1 of this year in an international friendly. Dunfield spent time with Manchester City in the club’s youth program before moves to Bury, Macclesfield Town, and Shrewsbury Town all in England. Dunfield joined Vancouver in 2010 while the team played in the USSF Division 2 Pro League.

TFC also moved Jake Peterson, Alan Gordon and Nana for Ryan Johnson, money and an International spot to San Jose.

Winter gets his men in trades, says players fit his system

Danny Koevermans has yet to play a game for Toronto FC, but already, the newly signed Designated Player has seen a lot of change in his new club.

“This morning I came in the room and I saw someone not there anymore,” the former Dutch international said on Friday after training at BMO Field. “It’s a little bit strange, but that’s the way things go over here.”

After making two trades on Thursday, Toronto FC were at it again on Friday. This time they acquired defender Andy Iro and midfielder Leandre Griffit from the Columbus Crew for midfielder Tony Tchani. And it's a safe bet they're not done.

“Not yet,” said head coach and technical director Aron Winter on at training Friday. “But at this moment, [with] the players that I have now and are coming, I’m satisfied. This is also part of the rebuilding process.”

Iro was the key to the trade with Columbus, said Winter.

“Everybody knows with all the injuries we had in the back ... we had a need to get defenders,” he said. “Tony was doing well. It’s a pity that he’s away, but sometimes you have to do some trades and get other players back to get all the pieces in the right place.”

Acquiring Iro and Griffit follows Thursday’s deal that brought forward Ryan Johnson, allocation money and an international roster spot from the San Jose Earthquakes and midfielder Terry Dunfield from the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Toronto sent forward Alan Gordon, midfielder Jacob Peterson and defender Nana Attakora to San Jose, and allocation money and future considerations to Vancouver.

TFC is getting hard to recognize, that's a lot of player movement.

Cant blame him for picking 2 popular stars for the all-star game, i guess. Agudelo tho, as if we didnt have enough NY/LA representation in this game already.

I'm very interested to see what TFC's basically new team is like tonight.

Me too. Pretty insane how completely different the team is mid season.

Anyone know what's going on with the Hargreaves and MLS talks? Vancouver seems to be very interested.

Westbromwich Albion is probably going to offer him a contract to stay in England.

New players, same result... so far at least.

I'll give them more time though, this team at least has some talent now.

Sooo Colorado looses Connor Casey for the rest of the season, then this Nyassi guy comes in and tore a whole thru the NYRB defense all night... Scores his first 3 goals of the season and looked great.
