It's funny that as soon as Konopka is in there this team plays in a totally different way. Kanatari went from looking lost to looking like Kompany haha. It just seems like everyone is on the same page now. Konopka is a beast and there's no questioning that.

I guess it's not so minor, and now I'm pissed.

I agree 100%, the team plays so differently with him at the back. Though he might not look so great against Seattle.

Terrible game altogether. I have no idea what Michael Bradley was doing on the play that led to the goal. Dude must have thought he is just that much better than everyone else that he could just play with the ball in his own area. That's just an amateur mistake by our "captain."

Doubt it. Orlando City is not going to catch up imo, and they'll fall to 6th at worst.
And with 3 upcoming games against lower tier opponents, TFC will be just fine. Ending the season against Montreal is going to be a big game, and they've played really well against the Impact this year that I can see them hanging onto 5th.
They won't have any playoff success though, lol. The defense is still way too poor, and depending on which Jozy shows up, this team still has ways to go.

Thank you Clutch0z24

Re: Toronto FC Discussion Thread II
Giovinco really carried the **** out of us this year. Now that he's cooled off/hurt we can see the flaws on the team.
We can only hope he gets hot again in the playoffs, if we make it. It's TFC's only chance.

We'll make the Playoffs, but can you see this team doing anything in them?

No, the defense is terrible. Against good teams they are down a goal sometimes 2 within 20 minutes of the game. You can't win like that.
The offense for all the firepower they have with their DPs really only runs when Giovinco is having a sensational game. I guess Giovinco could go off again like he did in NY and score 3 goals in 9 mins but soccer is too much a team sport and this team is no good. Against good teams it really shows.

With the defense playing like it has all year I can't see this team winning a game, especially if it's a road game but with the teams history of never making the play offs before I guess making the play offs is an achievement right?
Without Giovinco this team would be at the bottom of the standings along with Chicago and Philadelphia. I fear he will be snapped up by a European team during their winter transfer window

I know most will be focused on the Jays today, but TFC also plays a massive game today in hopes of staying in the Playoff picture.

Letting Gilberto score two is so TFC, but getting the win was really important.
We always make it tougher then it should be.

Re: Toronto FC Discussion Thread II
That was a a fantastic comeback and a massive win!
Defense was poor again especially at their first goal. Other results went TFC's way so another 3 points on Saturday is huge.
I have tickets already, looking forward to it
