New York looking very dangerous and fresh suddenly following substations. Not liking this. TFC need to buckle down.

That was one of his best games ever in a TFC uniform.
Great game all around from TFC though, especially considering how chippy the game was. A 2-0 lead is huge going into the second game.

Away goals are worth more, so it's great that we didn't give one up.

Thought Hagglund deserves honourable mention. Strong defense all game and nice ball into Ricketts for the 2nd goal.

Whew, if we can score just 1 goal next Sunday, I think we'll advance. I think our defence can hold them to no more than 3.

I agree with this. His defence stood out throughout.

MLS up to it again.
Giovinco snubbed for MVP despite having most goals+assists in league.
Villa not suspended for the next game despite league office saying it was a red card offense.

Sad how predictable MLS is. I don't know anyone who actually thought Villa would be suspended, though we all know he should be.

I know nothing about soccer and the MLS. Is this like a semi finals game tonight?
