Glad you approve.
Hopefully you'll stick around this season and give us some updates on the Fire.
How do you think they'll do this season?

Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson hoping to "raise the bar" for himself, club in 2015For Sean Johnson, 2015 could be a seminal year.
Entering his sixth season with the Chicago Fire, the 25-year-old goalkeeper knows a commanding season between the posts for Frank Yallop’s men could elevate him in the pecking order in Jurgen Klinsmann’s US national team roster and confirm his status among the elite of MLS – while also helping his club return to the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2012.
The Georgia native has been a steadying figure behind a much-maligned Fire backline since being selected 51st overall in the fourth round of the 2010 SuperDraft, an impressive career trajectory that has included an increased role with the USMNT since his first call-up in 2011. And eclipsing Nick Rimando and Bill Hamid on Klinsmann’s goalkeeping depth chart is potentially Johnson's next step.
“My real goal for the year, as it is every year, is to be better than I was the year before,” the typically determined and confident Johnson told MLSsoccer.com. “Last year was a good year for me, so I think the only way up for me personally is for the team to actually win games. It’s going to be all about winning games, raising the bar. Setting the standard high from the start is a really big goal that we have (as a team) this year.”
The towering 6-foot-4 netminder is also aware that a another solid season for the revamped Fire could propel him into the consciousness of teams in Europe.

On September 8, 2014 Magee underwent a right hip surgery to address an injury of the labrum and to repair articular surface damage and is expected to miss six to eight months due to recovery.
Still injured.

Chicago Fire sign Spanish midfielder Victor Perez on short-term loan from Levante
The Chicago Fire may not be done with their 2015 transformation.
A report in Goal.com, citing an anonymous source, indicates that the Fire have signed Spanish midfielder Victor Perez on a short-term loan from Liga BBVA side Levante UD. The report has the loan ending June 30 with an option to extend by six months, followed by a provision for a one-year extension beyond that.
Perez would be the 13th newcomer to the Fire roster this season. The Fire have not officially announced the signing.
The 27-year-old Perez (above, left), a product of the Real Madrid and Getafe youth academies, is a box-to-box midfielder who has played in the first and second tiers in Spain. Perez would be joining the Fire under unique circumstances after he was removed from Levante’s roster to make room for the January arrival of Costa Rica’s Brian Ruiz from Fulham.

Harry Shipp is good. The rest of the Fire, not so much. That's a guide to the Fire for you outsiders. I'll be watching today's game, yes.

Noticed the Fire don't really bring any big name players for Europe like the other clubs do. Is there a philosophy on this or do they just not have the cash?
I support the a-league and the competition is also angling towards getting good players from Europe at a good age rather than bringing in big name older players like Del Piero, Heskey, Yorke etc.

Sadly from what I understand is the Chicago ownership is just cheap.
They have had plenty of chances to bring in better players, but have chosen not to.
MLS just like the A-League is starting to sign much younger players from Europe, which will better the league each season they do so. Hopefully Chicago joins this trend, if not they will be left behind.

Been going to fire games for years. Last year they were awful - was the worst season I can remember. I thought some of these acquisitions would help us a bit but that has yet to be seen. What we need is new ownership and to get us out of Toyota Park and find somewhere to play closer to the city,

The current owner is cheap. He clearly just bought this as an investment and is relying on other teams to increase the value of his franchise. On top of just being cheap, it's also been poorly ran. Anyone competent seems to get ran out. It's disappointing considering how much success this franchise had starting out compared to the last 7 years.
