Celtics -1 games for the series (Finish in six games or i am toast). Already locked in $200 for this bet but i don’t doubt Luka’s talent and Mavs’ chemistry and “destiny” feels.
That said, have to be smart and consider flipping or hedging at some point (For example, if and when the Celtics start off the series at 2-0 then i believe Mavs +2.5 will be available and i might jump on that one depending on how close those games are)
Still, smart money is not to be too committed to my initial leans (this case, that the Cs are winning it all in 6 or less games)

I have the Mavs from in season at +4000 on a $100 spot.
Was gonna hedge, but Boston is such a heavy favorite it seems pointless.
Even if it comes down to -$200, would have to put $2000 g’s up to guarantee $1000 and I’m still rooting for the Mavs.
Hedging $1000 seems pointless, $500 compared to just losing my initial $100(which is actually a no sweat bet, so if it loses I get a free $100 wager) feels better then rooting for the Mavs and losing $1000 a profit. Then again, if I open a new account on a site I’ve never used, I get up to a $1000 no sweat bet again , meaning if Dallas won, win $4100, lose $1000 on the Celtics and get $1000 in free wagers to try and break even on the $1000 free roll.

I think I’m going to open a new account and do the no sweat for $1000 hedge.
If C’s win, I’ll still scoop $400-500 and get my $100 back on the Dallas loser.
If Dallas wins I still come up +3100 and get $1000 in free bets.

I’m in NJ but have only used 2 of maybe a dozen different legal books, and a couple of them have promos for new accounts with a no sweat up to $1000 on your first bet.

i just don't think that the Mavericks are a team so bad that they get swept in this stage. More interesting narrative for the NBA too, with a team up 2-1 rather than 3-0.
That said, scary bet since public should be on Dallas but have to trust my instinct (predicted G1 and G2 Boston wins, G3 Mavs and G4 and G5 Boston closes out the series)
