She's got the blood of an NFLer running through her veins so I know she's not a punk, but damn sis get some solution on that thing.

Both plays were incidental to me. It was a regular playoff game where sh*t happens. Neither player cares as much as fans do.

Yeah, ouch! I’m a wearer, so damn that looks uncomfortable just watching. Carrington would be one of my top FA targets given game and age.

Agree that I don’t see anything dirty with either. I do think Caitlin’s was more intentional, but in the form of frustration, not dirty.

Yeah that was insane, I hope she doesn't get an eye infection from that. Her Dad raised a warrior  or should I say Valkyrie? Lmao

Neither hit was intentional from either player, CC wasn't even looking at her when she threw up her hand.

A whole lotta nothing. I would ignore it tbh but I feel a need to speak the truth. This stuff takes away from the fun.

We have what she actually said.
And she said Clark wasn’t bothered by being used to promote racism and hate.
Except Clark never said that.
Again, we don’t have to give generous interpretations to grown adults capable of speaking for themselves. I think you guys call it “infantilizing” women around these parts, and it’s considered a major no-no when some posters do it for certain players.

It was overly harsh and inaccurate (what Dijonai said), but that still doesn’t take away the accuracy of my summary.

Being silent does imply you are complicit and ok with it. There is truth to that. People were and still are using her name to spread hatred. Stomp that **** out…and she did.

You can ignore it and call out how the world should be til you’re blue in the face. That’s not going to change how the world actually is. People are going to unfortunately pay attention to social media bologna and trash and vitriol. Too many people love drama and eat it up. It’s unfortunately here to stay. She shouldn’t have had to, but I’m glad Caitlin spoke up.

I don’t personally agree that people are complicit to things said in their name that they aren’t even aware of (would be different of course if these things were being said in front of Clark and she said nothing, rather than by nobodies on Twitter that she’s never engaged with), but I appreciate you being able to discuss it rationally and acknowledge what Carrington actually said.
And I agree about Clark flopping btw, just don’t remember Carrington publicly calling out Taurasi or Skylar or Aja etc. for it when, like you said, all the great players do it.
And like I said before, I’ve no problem with a little hate going Clark’s way either way. It’s part of the game as well.
I don’t get the impression that Carrington is much of a fan, nor should she be. She’s a competitor.

I think fair for the most part except for Clark living in some bubble unaware. Not buying that ignorance is bliss line. Good for her if she doesn’t pay attention to social media herself. But, her recent like of the Swift post shows…she is actually on it in some capacity.

Plus there’s no way in hell there aren’t family members, friends, former teammates, someone important to her that didn’t/doesn’t see what was/is going on.

So no. Not buying that for a nano second she didn’t know.

Also, while Carrington may have been wrong in taking her words too far, I certainly do sympathize with many of the players in the league that have felt **** on, marginalized, unappreciated, hated on by some Clark “fans.” You can say “ignore it,” and internet people are nobodies, but damn, racism hurts. Misogyny and homophobia too.

See the video below. Unanimous MVP this season…won the award 3x. Whacked in the face this season.

No call.

No giant controversy.

No posters making threads like this one defending her honor calling out the big, bad WNBA players.

No social media outcry to be seen.

Look at the comments. Where are all the people calling out the thugs and the intentional attacks and whatever the Clark brigade gets up in arms about every time anything remotely physical occurs?

Crickets.

Why is that?

The criminal comment is insane, but i also think some of you are acting like you are not apart of NBA boards where "your" player is treated or seen differently then the opponent. Im coming from a board where i saw plenty of my Bulls fan overly protect DRose for half a decade. This is not something unusual with fandom. If its something that crosses the line then sure call it out. And to be clear i dont think i will ever not give sour eyes towards Grayson Allen.

I think both fouls potentially could have been intentional. Whether they were are not if you get away with it its called gamesmanship. Both CC and DC are floppers btw.

The nail issue seems to have never caused a major injury but you really dont want to be the player that changes the rule because it happens to you. MMA has eye poke issues as well, have to believe they have nail trimming rules in place because it happens alot in that sport.

Could be an NBA problem too:
