Keep in mind that was a response not to the eye poke, but to the deaf tone response made by the reporters company; USA Today.
The doubling down on their reporter was the first extreme response to the interview.
I don’t agree with the tone and veiled threats that the WNBAPA response had, but I understand their outrage a bit.
If USA Today had been even a tad bit diplomatic in their response during a time in the league where tensions are a bit high with a new influx of all kinds of attention, this would be a non-story.
How was the response tone deaf? The players union response was one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen. It was a perfectly fair question from Brennan.
