Bar a dramatic turnaround, I have a very hard time seeing Hammon still in Vegas next year.
That locker room is in a bad shape and when that happens it's usually the coach who goes first (Although the very unique circumstances of this off season might buy Hammon another season she might not entirely deserve)

I could see it going either way with Hammon.

But I'm not sure it'll matter much because I get the feeling A'ja may not be in Vegas next year. Vegas has nice facilities, but so do Golden State and Phoenix and some other places.

Other teams also have, you know, a GM. Aces let Natalie go in Oct 2024 at the end of a very disappointing season. With one year left with A'ja under contract having just watched her put a lot of miles in a mostly wasted year, man, you'd think the Aces would be in a huge hurry to get about the business of getting a good GM and not wasting another year of A'ja's prime.
They did not do that. Instead they made one horrible trade that looked exactly like the sort of trade you make when you have no GM.

If this season ends anything close to the way it's started, I think she'll definitely want out. And there's probably never been an off-season in the history of most any league for a star to pick their organization and teammates.

Angel was balling. That was how point forward should be played.

Angel is already an elite rebounder and a plus defender, so her adding playmaking to her bag is gonna make her so much deadlier.

Letting Cardoso post up while she works on facilitating is an excellent adjustment. Also, this is when she needs to start taking more jump shots.

Las Vegas is in serious trouble. I think A'ja leaves to pair up with another star in the free agent scramble.

She's more than welcome to come to NYC :)

It looked great against Connecticut, and I hope it works. Not hard to see an AT path there, obviously with a lot more development.

In mid-June it's easy to forget just how early it is for these teams with almost no training camp. It was around this time last year that Chicago fans were clamoring for more playing time for Chennedy Carter. She was still on the bench behind Lindsay Allen and Dana Evans.

And Washington still hadn't won a game, and they damn near made the Playoffs.

Somebody's got to finish in the lottery, but I want to see everybody start to find themselves.

Oh for sure. Against the top 5, they are gonna be prepared for that. But it's good to see Chicago look like they found a way to play.

Glad to see HVL balling too.

I don't think she is staying. She was already in process of divorcing her teammates last year. Remember that incident when the Aces lost a game and after the whistle blew everybody on the team but her rushed to greet Usher who was courtside? A'ja - "They ain't did **** all day but they want a **** picture with Usher."

She's gonna find an organization that's hungry.

I thought Reece showed flashes of point forward play in the first game of the season. not sure why it took this long to lean into it.

Also, quit with the hair pulling, second time i have seen it this season. feels like it would be an unwritten rule in the womens game to never do that.

For tonight's road to the Commissioner's Cup, I think it's....

East
Dream beat Liberty and Dream is in.
Dream lose, and Fever win, Fever is in.
Liberty win, Fever lose, Liberity is in.

West
Lynx beat Aces and Lynx are in.
Lynx lose, Storm lose, and Lynx are in
Lynx lose, Storm win, Vakyries lose, Storm is in.
Lynx lose, Storm lose, Valkyries win, Lynx are in.

And I think if......Lynx lose, Storm win, Valkyries win it creates a 4-way tie, no H2H winner, and it comes down to point differential. Lynx about 40 points over the Storm and Valkyries right now, and 65 points over the Mercury (not playing tonight).

She's been pissed off for awhile now. Plum leaving probably was the canary in the coalmine moment for LV

She's probably exhausted from chasing Sab around all game, but Allisha is due to heat up.
