I think she withdraw her name early due to conflicts with the selection committee.

https://www.fox4news.com/sports/dallas-wings-star-arike-ogunbowale-explains-decision-withdraw-from-olympic-team-pool

Dallas Wings star guard Arike Ogunbowale revealed this week she took herself out of the USA Basketball pool for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Ogunbowale said that she believed the selection committee did not want her on the team. Her remarks came while appearing on the show "Nightcap" with Shannon Sharpe, Gilbert Arenas and Chad "OchoCinco" Johnson.

"When it comes to [the Olympic trials], it really doesn't have much to do with your game," Ogunbowale said. "It's really about who they feel like fits with the team. So I actually took my name out the pool months ago. That's not saying I didn't think maybe last year, I would be on the team and I was good enough to make the team, but when the list came out, I knew I would not be that one."

She added that the criteria for choosing who makes Team USA is "subjective."

"Everybody's great in the WNBA, so who they choose is who they choose," she said.

Very mature response

Nah, this is over.

WNBA has punched them in the mouth and knocked their teeth out.

Now, please give the 7 game series!!

Team USA: "We didn't play our real game or defense"

Which is true, but it's going to look like an excuse.

PR answer: “Hats off to them, but this just shows how great American women hoopers are! Its competitive as hell!” Lol

LOL, literally every time somebody drops a Clark pass, no matter what the circumstances, the scorekeepers give her a TO. Just watch. Thirty seconds left in the game, Clark throws a medium weight pass that hits her stationary teammate directly in both hands, with no defender within 2 feet. Her teammate took her eye off the ball, fumbled it, and the scorekeeper says Turnover Clark.

I guess that's life as a rookie.

Team USA seems like they really don't want to lose this game.
The hottest of takes...

I love this format! Too bad the Olympics only happen once every 4 years.

Nah. I don't agree with this.

Clark is the passer. She is responsible for making sure that her passes are catchable.

Her turnovers have been high since college. The one constant is CC

I think that she will figure it out

The WNBA team did their job, get the Olympic team ready by being competitive.
