Feels a bit like "triple double king" Russell Westbrook as MVP. These are "low calorie" stats not linked to winning.

they normally are, tonight they weren't

Yeah the Liberty did a good job of neutralizing her. Jonquel and Stewie are no joke.

Ben Simmons in street clothes = :x

Betnijah in street clothes =

But yeah we need her back because it's time for Sloot to come off the bench

No, but Liberty have given up some stupid games this season.

Pretty much.

Like, this team is really good. Really really good. But they play with their food a bit too much for my liking and it burned them multiple times already

Nope, none of that. Win as a team, lose as a team. Yall need more time in the incubator before you're ripe enough to play with the big dogs

Nah. You win as a player as well. If you show up... you show up. Yall could not handle her. Just like we go in on players who dont show up. You show love to those who do. She showed up against a good team. Im going to salute that. The SKY was not expected to win in the first place.

Fever took their foot off the gas on offense, looking clueless against the zone. But on defense they needed to know their personnel. They should have doubled Copper hard, stayed at home on Cunningham, made anyone else shoot, and avoided fouling anyone.

storm can go pretty quick

need to slow them down and let our defense get to work, not give up fast break points

Carter had a great game, but the Liberty played very smart defense against her. Fiebich as the primary defender stayed in front, and then used her length to contest. Carter got some buckets on Fiebich, but did most of her work against other defenders and in transition. Early on, both Mabrey and Carter were cooking, but when the Liberty brought in Thornton, they used her on Mabrey, and left Fiebich on Carter.

But the big thing the Liberty did was NOT foul. Carter doesn't shoot threes, so if she doesn't get to the line her overall efficiency is going to be limited. Carter was 10-21 from the field, which is great, especially for a guard, but she didn't take or make a three, and was 2-4 from the line. That's a 48.3 TS% on 32% usage. I will gladly live with that.

pace is a little hectic for us right now

offense isn't being run super clean and we're taking a lot of quick threes

They are not well coached, I'm not going to blame it all on the coach because obviously a fair amount of criticism belongs to who was on the floor, but it's definitely a contributing factor. Clark and Erica Wheeler cannot be on the floor at the same time. Sides wants to get Clark minutes at SG so she doesn't have to bring the ball up for the full 40 minutes, but the problem is Wheeler will never shoot and will dribble in to take a contested shot. They just do not work well together on the court, and the coach keeps trying to force it. I still like Lexie Hull playing big minutes over Kristy Wallace or Wheeler, even though she played like crap offensively today.
