CC won rookie of the month. The first of many awards, I'm sure.

What I’ve seen so far looks pretty rough in terms of fit, but it’s just so early, and they’ve had a lot going against them TBF w/Clark’s rookie-ing, brutal schedule/lack of practice, is the coach up to the task?, Boston’s only in year 2 as well.

We’ll see. I hope it works out, but wouldn’t be shocked if it didn’t solely due to contrast in styles.

If CC can cut down the turnovers and shoot a little better, she's having a pretty nice rookie year. Top 20 in scoring, top 5 in assists, not far off from top 20 in rpg and spg. Her On/Off is much better than her top teammates...

But she's lapped the entire league in turnovers, and her efficiency has been pretty rough. We'll see how the last 3/4 of the season go.

Crystal Robinson is the only other WNBA player to hit 7 threes as a rookie.

I was hoping that with having some time off to rest and practice for the first time this season, the Fever (and Clark) might look better, and we get this 85-83 win. Plus an impressive game by Clark. Closer than it should have been against the worst team in the league, but it's still a road win.

ESPN named Clark only the sixth best rookie this year, and this game puts the lie to that IMO.

I honestly find it concerning that they only won by 2 points against an 0-10 team missing multiple key players while they themselves were coming off multiple days rest, shot well as a team (45% fg / 46% 3pt), and got a dominant game from Clark.

I saw that, it looked like she thought she was being attacked for a minute.

As for the Olympics, maybe they're doing her a favor, this way she can get more time off.

I know you can't get too excited beating the Mystics, but hey ya got to start somewhere. Hopefully they will continue to improve.

Haha yeah i think she's on edge. Wheeler absolutely loves her though.

She will need the time off. She's had no break between NCAAs and being drafted.

Yes, because God forbid she pay her dues like the veterans that came before her on this roster.

Which is great because I can’t remember where I saw it, but I did read something questioning their fit and if they’d work.

I still think Sides has to figure something out with Boston for the longer term. Seems like a great kid, unselfish player from all I’ve seen, but eventually, just about everyone wants to be involved and get some shots up. Not many Rodmans or Ben Wallace types in the game. It’s tough when you have two high volume shooters like CC and KM taking so many shots though. Will be interesting to see how it progresses, they obviously need more time to figure things out.

I feel that the onus is on the coaching staff to implement schemes that maximize the skills of each player and better distribute the touches where Boston is getting the ball in her spots.

They've got all summer to figure it out though

I didnt watch her last season so i would be interested to hear how she made the all star team. Right now she has had very little impact on winning. And her not coming to Clark's defense when she got hip checked was a bad look. Just do the point finger thing and then let the refs hold ya back; but dont walk over like nothing happened. Even if Clark sold it a bit lol.

Monica McNutt was on with Shannon Sharpe last week and she framed this differently: not everyone is confrontational like that, and she used herself in her college playing days as an example, and then it made sense to me. To AB's defense, she went over to CC immediately to help her up and ignored Carter.

That was the correct thing to do, but obviously yeah you wanna see someone at least shove Carter and get into it a bit. But if you ever see any interviews with Boston, she's a real sweethearted kid, not rough around the edges at all, she just hoops. So in hindsight, I don't see her squaring up with Chennedy, who is legit down to throw hands

I was thinking about it, and I think the same thing that happens in the NBA happens in the W: most players don't wanna fight. We damn sure know that's true for most of the men.

Regarding AB's play, her numbers are down across the board. I think she is struggling fitting in with the make up of the team/not getting the ball in the paint where she's most comfortable. Again, that last piece is on coaching. If you have two volume scorers and a big that I know can get me 14 and 10, it's on the staff to make it work somehow.

The A.Boston thing w/Carter kinda annoyed me the way I’m wound, but I’m well over it at this point. Just because we’re one way, doesn’t mean Aliyah’s that same way.

For jc23…remember when Grayson Allen took out Caruso? The team did absolutely nothing, and that was a cheap flagrant that injured AC…a clearly beloved player and teammate.
