Clark says she doesn't get nervous for games, but hmmm. In the first halves of her three biggest WNBA games -- her debut, the All Star game, and her first playoff game -- she made a total of one 3-point shot, on (in my memory) 16 combined attempts. That doesn't seem free and loose to me.

I read that too, I think she said she doesn't get pre game anxiety and had a hard time understanding why others did when she was younger. It goes without saying but she's a pretty interesting person

I dunno if she seemed nervous during the game, she missed a few threes that she usually makes so I dunno know lol

I'll be tuned in to both game 2s tonight! Rooting for the Liberty and Storm.
- Still looking at potential expansion draft players if they get playing time.
- Mr. Dollar Bills: Nayala Sabally? You guys like her? I only watched her last game and didn't get much of a feel.
-Looking out for #1 on the Dream and Haley Jones. Will look at others if they get garbage time.

ESPN Mock Draft

The Sky's draft future interests me. If they can walk away with Morrow and PaoPao that will be two excellent pieces to go with Angel, Cardoso, and Carter.

Until later in the season, the Sky struggled to get the ball to Cardoso, and Pao Pao certainly knows how to do that.

The guys on the Sky Central Podcast seem to be really hoping for Miles.

Either way, they really need to come out of this with a PG.

For Valkyries I would be happy with Olivia Miles with the 5th pick, but I can also see Azzi Fudd drop to 5th too. Both have had knee injuries with Fudd having multiple injuries. Sonia Citron is someone i like too for Valkyries for a shooting guard. It's a guard heavy draft

Morrow might be the BPA in the lottery for Sky if they pick 3rd or 4th so might need to take her and trade down for Miles -- If I were Valkyries I wouldn't mind a trade with Sky to get Morrow pick & 5th pick + something.

Not only does Tahina PaoPao have one of the best names in basketball history, but she can also shoot the lights out. That's a no brainer pick for the Sky. I think she'd be perfect next to Chen.

It's sad that CC has to state a basic common sense fact, but it seems like she has to do that every time someome breathes on her. It wouldn't shock me if she's getting sick of it.

Moving on.

The Sky can't afford not to take Morrow (in my opinion). They need talent badly

It would secure 3,4 & 5 position for them for years.

Papao/Carter/Morrow/Reese/Cardoso

Let that sink in :) it would take some time, but that 5 could be deadly over the long run. Especially if Angel can get that jump shot going

Sky possibly moving the pick is an interesting idea. Who knows if they would or not, but they certainly have options.
After multiple 1st's in 2024, and now 2025, they have 2 more in 2026.
They are clearly building for the future since they got thrown into a rebuild when Wade left (and Mabrey wanting out certainly cemented it).

My personal belief is that they had no idea Angel and Chennedy would be so good this year, and they never expected to be in a Playoff race this year.

Apparently the Rockets owner is putting in a bid to bring the W back to Houston.

Who knows where all this ends up, but when the musical chairs stop, it seems like it'll feel right if Houston and Detroit get a seat back at the table.

I wish that none of the champion teams (Houston, Detroit, Sacramento) had ever lost their team, but if forced to champion one, it's Houston for me unquestionably. They won the most and they are in a huge market.

Swapping out Detroit for Toronto, and Sacramento for Golden State, just feels logical at this point.

Granted, it's not like the WNBA only consists of big markets (see Indiana & Connecticut for extreme examples), but when small markets lose teams it doesn't strike me as weird the same way it does when big markets do.

I think they have a huge amount of untapped potential in the southeast so I think Orlando or Charlotte has a good chance too

Charlotte might be a good market.

I'm still pulling for Philadelphia since their games might end up being played in New Jersey

That last Jones call was so questionable by the refs. Liberty now down her and Fiebich.

The Dream have good players. I would be disappointed if they just rolled over tbh, Sunday wasn't exactly compelling basketball outside of Minnesota vs Phoenix.
