Saw this in a news article today: "The last NBA player to hit the 20-rebound mark for three straight games was Ben Wallace with the Detroit Pistons in 2003. The last NBA player before Wallace to hit that mark (or longer) was Wilt Chamberlain, who had several such streaks in 1973 with the Los Angeles Lakers."
That's not accurate... I checked both K Love and Dwight's game logs... they've done that at later days than Ben Wallace
Kevin Love had consecutive 20 rebound games?? For real?
Dwight I can see it, but I didn't think Love did that. Wow
Kevin Love's best rebounds per game season: 15.2. Dwight's: 14.5
Kevin Loves game high: 31 (he also had 31 points in the game). Dwight's: 30.
Dwight was a better rebounder by a lot of measures, but Minnesota Kevin Love was a beast. The season he averaged 15.2 (2010-11), he had 13 games of 20 or more, including 20, 23, and 21 in consecutive games, four games of at least 30 points and 20 rebounds, and 53 consecutive double-doubles. That season, he was the first player to average 20+ points and 15+ rebounds since Moses Malone did it in 1983. His 31-31 game was also the first 30-30 game since Moses in 1982.
BTW, in 1978-79, Moses has three consecutive 20+ rebound games FIVE different times.
Edit: For fun, I just looked up a couple of Dennis Rodman's best rebounding seasons.
In 1991-92, he had at least three consecutive 20+ rebound games SEVEN different times, including two streaks of four consecutive games.
In 1992-93, he had a streak of SEVEN 20+ rebound games in a row, and another streak of FIVE 20+ rebound games in a row.
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.
