The sky and Reese have no shame with how they just try to stat pad and feed her the ball to try to get the double double down 25 with 2 min left.

Was that Diamond that shouldered Clark on the fast break?

DAmn Cardoso only got 4 FGA?! I know the guards were hot to start off, but 4 shot attempts for your talented big is ridiculous.

Yeah, she fouled Clark like 3 times in 1 min.

Cardoso should just go somewhere else she's only getting in the way of Reese averaging historic 20 rebounds.

Clark getting the MJ-in-the-80s treatment.
The way she gets cheap shotted so frequently has me thinking she will eventually be GOATed.
These girls just don’t know what to do with her so they resort to just trying to rough her up and hope she gets hurt. Shameful.
Caitlin Rules here we come. If the league has any sense they will do a much better job of protecting her next season, and then it’s curtains.

I’m surely the minority at this point, but I still think she could end up being even better than Reese.

I don’t believe that’s the minority. Reese might have the popularity, but I think if the draft happened today the top 4 go exactly the same, Clark/Brink/Cardoso/Rickea

I don't know what sky's offense typically is, but it is comical seeing Reese post up instead of Cardosa. Sure Sky wants to win but they also really really wanna make sure Reese stays in the headlines. I can't imagine Cardoza is happy.

She's a grown woman, not a child. She doesn't need anyone's protection.

In theory, the Sky are the future. Two top rookies plus Carter. In practice, they are an ill-disciplined, ill-fitting mess, in desperate need both of better PG play and of a big fat dose of maturity.

Cardoso excepted on that last item. She's a professional.

I think the league will need protecting from Caitlin next season. She's going to come out to kill everyone. She's already looks physically stronger in her arms and will continue to get stronger in the off season. Plus the Fever need to grab at least 1 enforcer for the team.

She and the sky were beyond frustrated. You could tell they came into last night ready to battle. To then get blown out gotta sting.

Caitlin did flop on the first two fouls tho. especially the first.

Heh, yeah, I was thinking MrDB’s gotta be happy with that road effort. Liberty can really put the clamps on when they decide to. Team did a good job being disciplined on offense making sure Stewie got regular touches in the 2nd half run. If she wasn’t scoring it, she was hitting the open woman and creating advantages for teammates. Pretty poor rebounding effort by Seattle.

I hadn’t heard the Gabby Williams news so I had to do a double take and google to re-confirm my knowledge. What a terrific midseason pickup for the Storm.

Oh, absolutely :) that was a solid win for us and anytime Stewie goes off it's masterful to watch, but again, Stewie's defense is what is propelling us to #1.

I like the Gabby Williams pick up by Seattle, unfortunately it would have been better if she was apart of the Storm from Day 1 of the season. The league needs to stop punishing players for trying to earn a living.

The Sky have a long way to go in terms of personnel. Outside of Carter I am not high on any of their their backcourt/wing players, the loss of Mabrey has honestly been a huge blow to their group as well. Unfortunately for them, they're going home in two games in the first round because Stewie and the gals are on a mission.

I thought the shoulder check was a dumb frustration foul but CC was baiting the Sky into stuff all night. This is why I said earlier that CC doesn't need protection. She is playing the game and getting into people's heads.

I compared Clark to Gary Payton for a reason

Right.

This is big grown woman/person hoops. I understand fans of Caitlin are protective of her, she is an adorable dork after all, but bro I think ppl need to understand something: She's not in there trapped with her opponents, her opponents are in there trapped with her.

Multiple plays she made last night could be top 10 on ESPN's highlights. Needle thread passes that were on the money. Devastating crossovers that sent defenders sliding backwards. Back breaking threes. That and all that non stop back and forth trash talk leads to things happening. It is what it is.

In the immortal words of former NBA champion Eddie House:

"That's what happens when you start bussing somebody's ass, they get mad"
