Training camp starts in April. It will be interesting how Steph White will adjust her defensive schemes with a mixed of youth and experience.

It’s pretty clear Caitlin Clark can fill stadiums, but I’m curious, if you watch her on the road, are most of the people cheering for her? Or are they still going for the home team but just want the chance to see her?

I'm not that familiar with women's basketball, I just started watching the Fever last year. So I'm looking for some opinions from people more informed than myself:
I see they have a new coach, a new GM, and have signed several free agents. It didn't look like the team they fielded last year had any real chance of winning a championship. With all the changes made, what do you think the new ceiling is for the Fever team?

It's both. At least with the better & more popular franchises, like Liberty, Aces, Phoenix, Minnesota, and so forth. Most of the fans are there to see the home team win, but most also want to see Clark heroics. I'd say the mindset is similar to that at Steph's East Coast road games.

It will be interesting. On paper, they're looking good. But they still have to play together. This month is the first day of the training camp.

could be a slow start due to all the new faces; wnba training camps are hilariously short. At some point they will hit their stride and start to decimate fools.

Re: Indiana Fever 2025
It's not going to be like last year. Partially because the talent has been upgraded, partially because the fit is better (more floor runners than last year), and partially because the Fever won't be starting a rookie PG. The defense might take a bit of time to get coordinated, but I expect the offense to get up to speed pronto.

i'm expecting this too. with so much roster turnover there will probably be a couple weeks of clark passes clanging off the hands of the new players as they get on the same page
but it should be better than last year, especially if the league doesn't screw them on the schedule again and actually gives them time to practice at the beginning of the year

Yeah, right? What was that anyway? Can you imagine the NFL doing something like that?

Was really a home run offseason for them as they added veteran leadership, defense and rebounding, which was what they needed, while keeping Mitchell. Cunningham’s shooting and size also looks like a great fit imo.
Outside of NY I think they can be as good as anyone. They key imo will be whether Boston can take another jump as a player. If she goes from good to great and they stay healthy they will be contending for the title imo, and that’s pretty possible as her chemistry with Clark should be much better in year two.
