This is the best overtime period I seen. Nobody wants to lose. Great effort by the Fever.

Gray is reminding people why she is a two time champion. Man she is clutch!

What a fantastic game. I was rooting for the Aces (and they didn't make it easy with their attempts to give the game away  ) but have a lot of respect for players on the Fever team. No quit was shown from them at all, particularly Simms.

Almost felt like a Pacers moment for them. Relentless team-first style was just barely grounded by ridiculously unfortunate player absences.

I was watching the game with someone who'd never seen the Fever, and she couldn't stop talking about how much she liked their style.

Such an amazing game for the Fever.

I tend to lean towards letting them play and thought at least 3 of AB's fouls were complete bull. I know I'm in the minority.

But if she doesn't foul out on all those cheap calls, the Fever are heading to Phoenix and the Mercury have a problem.

The Fever were not winning that game period. By the time Kelsey went down the Aces had already kinda started to finally find a groove. Then when she went down you could see the Aces playing down to their competition and kind of just expecting the Fever to give in. Credit to them that they didn't, but yeah, Aja wasn't going to let them lose.

And the Fever would have been a much better match up for Phx. Phx would have swept.

- Kah vs. Jackie will be fun.
- A'ja having to guard AT inverts their defense a bit, by I expect A'ja to get increasingly comfortable daring AT to shoot. Weird to see her picking her up so high.
- Aces are going to have to play bigger than they typically want to. Mercury have too many bullies to play a bunch of guards against.

The talk in the other thread about the all rookie team.

Makani had to be on it.

Chels is back, and Dana looks good.

But they desperately need JYo back and healthy.

- I like Satou on Chelsea Gray. They don't want her having a strength mismatch on someone.
- Phoenix's offense looks good but also damn they've been hot from 3.
- Aces aren't spending any time going small. Nalyssa Smith or Gustafson on the floor with A'ja most of the game.
- Are A'ja or AT ever going to come off the floor?

Dana!
So happy for her.

Chicago was ready to run her out of town with a pitchfork.
In fairness she was pretty bad.

But playing with a good organization and a 4-time MVP seems to have done her well.

Seriously Chicago could not find a guard that could score (after they ran Chennedy and Dana out of town)

So happy for Dana. Even better if this performance helps put Jeff out of a job

I think AT kinda messed up the screening on that final play. She didn't set a good screen for Sabally or Kah, and they don't gain any advantage on the defense. AT is probably the best screener in the league, so it was weird to see her kinda ghost/miss 2 screens in one play.
