Lynx are surely going to be too much in this one.

But Gabby is going to be a star. Maybe already the best perimeter defender in the league, and becoming a really solid offensive player.

Surely won't matter tonight. Lynx are too good. But the Storm aren't far away.

Lynx play such beautiful basketball.

I'd love for the Storm to pull it out, but I know they can't against this team.

If the Storm gotta get their ass-kicked, always honored for it to come at the hands of Minnesota.

Good win for the Liberty. Spectacular ball except for a portion of the third quarter again though.

Only my 2nd viewing game of the Valkyries, but I really like this team. They're a joy to watch even if they're getting their butts kicked by the champs.

Big Salaun & Leite fan in their rookie seasons. Far from perfect, but plenty of upside to get excited for. Burton was a favorite of mine to be on the Valkyries and she's a solid point guard and she pushes the pace.

Lynx keep winning. Now we just need Chicago to keep losing.

Haha. I tried.

I loved what I saw from the Storm. Beating the Lynx in Minnesota is no easy task, so wasn't expecting a win.

Both teams play really good defense, and for the Storm it's the offense and depth that are the key. That we could score enough to stay in the game against the Lynx on the road is encouraging.

Not a lot of other teams are going to keep Phee under 20, and the Lynx depth is just amazing.
You can make things hard on Phee, BC can have a cold night, but Kayla and Alanna are bombing away then Courtney goes bonkers down the stretch.

But I'm seeing everything I hope to see from the Storm at this point.
Skylar and Nneka look good. Gabby looks like she's making the leap, which unlocks a whole new level for this team.
Wheeler has been much better than I hoped.
Ezi isn't on fire yet, but her rebounding and defense were huge last night.

Depth is a real issue, though.
So glad to see Malonga get some meaningful minutes in the 4th last night. Beat the defense on a beautiful cut and finish, then gets torched by Phee on the other end. The life of a 19 year old.
But the important part is Quinn trusting her in the 4th and she played pretty well.

The team probably needs one more piece, and Malonga developing a little quicker than expected would be a great piece.

But anyway, fun game. Would love to see that one in a Playoff series.

I don't know if Chicago would do it, but if I'm Dallas I'm calling Chicago everyday offering Arike for Kamilla.

Unlikely, but Jeff will do some stupid stuff sometime so it's worth a try.

And even though it would be a bad long-term trade for Chicago, Arike would certainly help them win more games this year. And we know Jeff is committed to going all in to try to get an 8-seed in 2025.

Two random notes -

1) I was so wrong about the Liberty savoring their title and cruising through the regular season. This team is acting like the 2016 Warriors, which followed its first championship with a 74 win regular season. They mean business and Cloud is a nasty addition to an already loaded team. Who can play with them? The Lynx, a healthy Fever, and maybe the Aces?

2) Paige is it. She's going to be a perennial MVP candidate, sooner rather than later.
