Good point (no pun intended).

Yeesh, just heard not only are McDonald and Colson injured, they're out for the year. Yikes. Well, that was an interesting season. Not.

Man that really sucks about Syd and Aari. This is definitely not how I thought this season would go for the Fever.

I guess Mitchell can play point guard, but I don't think I've ever seen her actually pass the ball (kidding, just kidding...).

hate to see players get injured. i have not enjoyed this season. Fever have a decent record but the year has been laced with gloominess.

Definitely not a fun season. Clark hasn't looked happy either. She sits on the bench with a dark cloud over her head, unless she sees the camera on her and smiles.

Well, can always count on the Sky for a win. Especially when their double double machine doesn't show up.

Tough loss against the Wings. Nice comeback try though.

Unfortunately, we have to give her time to heal. Makes for a frustrating basketball viewing experience though.
To make matters worse, they lost to the Mystics. Led at the half, but things got worse as the game went on.
Someone pointed out that if you take out the wins against the Sky, the team is under .500.

This is what I would have said if you told me that Caitlin Clark would miss most of Indy's games. I would have said, "Well the offense will suffer bigtime, but at least the defense will improve."

It hasn't worked that way. The offense has indeed dropped, from an Offensive Rating of 111 to 105, but the Defensive Rating has actually become slightly worse with her out of the lineup. (And Indy played the Sky 3x without Clark and only once with her.)

Another way of putting the issue. With Clark, Indy's offense has been elite (behind only the Lynx) and its defense average. Hey, you're probably not going to win a title like that, but at least you're going to be a good team and in the hunt. But without Clark, both the offense and defense are average. Which leads to, yes, a boring team.
