And they are missing 3 starters, one of whom has only played 3 games (Brittney Sykes), and one of whom has only played 6 games (Shakira Austin).
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I feel bad for Fever fans, that was almost an incredible comeback.

The Fever lost this game in the first 35 minutes. They had zero urgency or energy. I mean, Lexie Hull, who was great in the last 5 minutes, got the start and did nothing. Players, including Caitlin multiple times, were getting beaten on backdoor cuts left and right. ONE single offensive rebound through three and a half quarters. 21 total turnovers for a team that averages under 14. Washington had 17 more field goal attempts for the game, and shot 2 more free throws.

Down 5 with 16 seconds left, the game was over (win probability 96%). I agree the play and execution were bad, but at that point, even with perfect offensive execution, you're relying on turnovers and/or missed free throws to even have a chance.

It also helps that Big Mama Stef Dolson has been on a roll. She's shooting 49% from downtown on the season

got killed with the turnovers too especially in the 1st quarter.

i get what they're trying to do with putting caitlin clark and kelsey mitchell off the ball. they're trying to do some warriors steph & klay thing but neither aliyah boston nor KLS can do what draymond green does. the turnover rate for players that barely touch the ball is just crazy.

lexie hull also just needs to play more. she started the game then barely played until the 4th. she's the only player on this team that can play defense

I'm not taking the ball out of Clark's hands in crunchtime.

Agreed on Hull. They need to keep a defender in the line up

they move the ball and move without the ball so well. they picked apart the fever defense so easily. 33 fg makes on 23 assists, with nice assist distribution across the entire team this game. ariel atkins can really play too, she made some tough shots

Oh yeah. Atkins is really good.

I'm glad the Mystics are picking it up.

Eh, I'm too disgusted to post. Beat the top team one day then come back to lose to a 5-17 team they had already beaten twice. I guess this league is tougher than I thought. I had this penciled in as a win though, and I was expecting more, especially with Hull starting. The comeback try was impressive, but they just ran out of time.

Clark did the same flop pantomime to Vanloo that DiJonai Carrington did to Clark. I try to stay away from Twitter, but I happened to see a screen shot of DiJonai complaining about the hate she got for that (totally undeserved), and expecting that Clark won't face the same (I'm sure a safe assumption).

Her fans were cheering it on reddit and Twitter.

CC was getting into it with Vanloo and yet no one loses their mind over it. I wonder why?

Mind you, I don't care that CC talks trash, i like the fact that she does run her mouth. I would talk trash too I could play like she can. I just notice the hypocritical ways that things have played out.

looks like the Fever came out with the "we just beat the number 1 team and just want to chill" type of mindset. i like how the Mystics play. Thats the kind of ball movement and cutting i think the womens game can really showcase. 31 keeps on impressing me with her skill set. She needs a trainer tho; because her only weakness is quickness.

I feel bad for the Fever coach as im sure she is doing the best she can, but management might want to go get a veteran coach in the off season.

Seems like a very costly loss for the Fever. Puts a lot of pressure on them for Friday's game against the Mercury.
Oh well, I guess worst case scenario, they miss the playoffs, and they replace Sides. They probably need a new GM too, this team is terrible defensively, and that has to be partly down to personnel.

honestly, zion is in decent shape for the first time in his career the same year everyone realizes ozempic is great as a weight loss drug. coincidence? i think not.

just get these athletes that are a little too big for their own good some ozempic. we could have saved eddy currys career if he was born in 2000 instead

I wouldnt trust that ozempic stuff. Except for those that really need it. Zion has no excuse, he is a millionaire who can hire a team of professionals to cater to his body. I did find it funny when Stephen A lost 30 pounds and said it has through diet and exercise, sure buddy.

no professional athlete has an excuse really; it's their job to be in shape and take care of their body. personally, i'm not even really watching my diet like that and i'm not really that young anymore either but i can stay in shape just moving around everyday going out for hikes/walks with my dog and going to the gym a few times a week.

the idea of a professional athlete needing/taking ozempic is just really funny to me

yeah, the amount of people just in my personal life that lost weight this past year or 2 has been crazy. they're all talking about how they're on this health kick and all but yeah okay.

Yeah the refs got baited by a flop and it worked. I'm actually surprised that didn't end up in a technical being called because she went off

It is sexist...the stuff that pisses me off is when people infantilize CC. She is not some fragile little girl that needs to be protected. She's not soft, she is a fierce competitor and talks a ton of trash herself.

She doesn't even ask for this stuff, that's the sad part about this. All I've seen from CC is someone who hoops hard every game, is very passionate about winning, always credits her teammates, and just minds her business. I hope long term this stuff fades away.
