TCU held on for a little bit, but man SC is so damn good. I swear they could split the team in half and have 2 teams that could make a Final Four run.

Ashlyn Watkins threw down a dunk for fun.
The best part about it was that Prince had just blocked her shot. She got back on defense, stole the ball, and took it coast to coast for the dunk.

And how good is Toby Fournier going to be?

She looks so good. Just completely dominated VT. It absolutely disgusts me that Duke landed her.

Swords, Toby, Strong, and Joyce Edwards, wow. The pipeline after Juju and Hidlalgo looks strong.

Illinois-OSU was a lot of fun too.

OSU running that 2-2-1 press. Illinois handled it well, but OSU was just better. I'm no WNBA scout, but Cotie McMahon seems like a solid W prospect.

Also cool that Katie Smith and Jacy Sheldon are OSU assistants now. Smith actually left the Lynx to go be an OSU assistant, which seems surprising, but good for OSU.

Katie was a rumored WNBA HC hire after 6 seasons with Reeve, and played in an NCAA title game against Swoopes. Katie scored 28 and Swoopes dropped 46.

UConn at Notre Dame tonight is going to be so much fun.

Fudd will be out, which sucks, but if she were there (and shows teams a good, long healthy stretch this season), we could be looking at 4 of the top 5 picks in the upcoming WNBA draft.

I think Miles is a lock for #3. I don't even think #2 is completely out of the question. Unlikely, of course, but like the Sky, she's exactly what the Sparks need.

Citron would be perfect for the Mystics. She's perfect for pretty much any team.

Of course Hidalgo and Strong too.

Strong has been getting some lofty comps, Nneka with a 3, and Phee.

Nneka is a career 37% three point shooter and was over 40% last year, but she's never averaged over 2 attempts per game. Seems like Nneka could have been "Nneka with a 3" if she wanted to, and she should probably take a lot more than she has.
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Katie Smith's WNBA career seems very underrated at this point. 11th most career points in league history, 2x all-league first team and 2x second team, 7x all-star, 2x champion and 1x finals MVP, 4th all-time in career offensive win shares and 12th all-time in total career win shares.

I'm not usually one to say that player was "exposed" based on one game, but I felt like Prince was exposed in that game. She seemed like she just shrank from the competition and gave up. HVL was inefficient and turned the ball over, but at least she competed to the end and had her moments. Connor got sped up and played badly, but at least she was trying. Prince just lay down like a sick dog.

Yeah, it was rough.

Not a good look, especially as a 24 year old.

And two of those (Swords and Fournier) are Canadian, which is good news for Canadian fans like me! After a poor showing by the women's team in the most recent Olympics with what was kind of a team transitioning between eras, the future for Canadian women's basketball is bright.

Jasmine Bascoe on Villanova and Delaney Gibb on BYU are two other Canadian first year NCAA players also having great seasons so far.

GB everybody else, but when Hannah Hidalgo is on a basketball court, she's the Alpha.

I hope like hell that Miles' injury isn't serious. It's going to be soul-crushing on a lot of levels if it is.

They are both so fun to watch. Happy for Canadian women's basketball.

I've despised everything about Notre Dame my entire life. But this damn team is so fun.

Big Olivia Miles fan now! Been watching highlights all summer to prepare for the draft so it's nice to see her play. Big guard, plays with poise, and smooth.

This may seem crazy, but if she keeps playing like this, I think there's a shot that the Sparks take her at #2 (crushing the dreams of Sky fans).

For the Sparks and Sky both, they would need to really see Kiki as an absolutely transcendent talent to take her over Miles. Maybe they do, but if they see Miles and Kiki as similar overall talents, I think they'd go with Miles.

Even if #2 might seem high, it's not like the Sparks can trade down hoping to still land Miles because the Sky are right there.

Lynne Roberts and Tyler Marsh also happen to be coaches looking to get off a bunch of 3's.
