Good game so far between the Liberty and Sun. So far NY has been in control but man, Alyssa Thomas is really solid.

You are not wrong.
But they've been pretty banged up and still center a ton of their offense around a 41-year-old Taurasi. I never think Taurasi looks that bad, but this team does kind of have Kobe farewell tour vibes.
Griner is doing great as a scorer and rim protector, but beyond that the cupboard feels bare. Sug Sutton has been a nice surprise, and Michaela Onyenwere has been solid (and their only fully healthy player?).
They need Skylar.

Weird to see only two eastern conference players (one being only the sixth rookie to start), and it'll be interesting to see who the bench are.
Aliyah Boston has been an absolute stud. Sh*t, there are dudes on my NBA team that I wish had her offensive awareness. The way she moves without the ball in the paint is beautiful to watch.

Fantastic news: the Liberty vs Sun game was the first story on Sportscenter tonight. Even before Ohtani's 2-homer and 10-strikeout game. Really cool to see the WNBA getting some love in the media.

Lower bowl was like 95% full, upper bowl in the 50-60% range
More than I expected, tbh
I've been there for several UConn games over the years, men and women, and I'd say it was about as many people as I've seen there. It's not that big of a place though, only about a 10k seat stadium, and I've seen the men sell out the XL center in Hartford, which is closer to 17k, but still
About as much if not more than UConn women's games, which is pretty good considering how popular they are around here. Not as many Liberty fans as I was expecting either, place was loud af when Alyssa Thomas put them up by 1 with a couple minutes to go.

Mine too!
My daughter met her earlier this year, at a Melbourne Boomers game (Ezi was watching). So humble.
Her brother plays for a second tier team locally, and he's just as humble.

In terms of snubs, Jordin Canada jumps to mind. Great defender and all-around game running the show for the Sparks. I had her over Copper and Ionescu. All these players are deserving though.
I've watched more Storm games than expected and Ezi Magbegor has made it worth the watch. Absolute defensive playmaker.

BBall-ref has stats, and the Score app I have is finally working so it actually alerts me when the games start, so this should be it
I know I'm a Knicks fan, but I gotta rep the home state of CT. Plus, I'm only like a 45 minute drive from Mohegan, so I could actually get down there to watch some games.

Re: 2023 WNBA Season Discussion
Indiana went on a 27 to 12 run to take NY to overtime today after the Libs went up by 20 in the 3rd
luckily Sabrina, Stewie and Lainey were able to smack them down in OT.
Aliyah Boston has some of, if not the best footwork in the W. Her game is beautiful to watch. She was dominant in that 4th.
