2024 WNBA Season Discussion Thread

The problem isn't Caitlin Clark.

The problem is a lot of DUDES who don't usually watch WNBA hoops came into this thinking that the league was filled with scrubs because they are women, and they somehow believed that CC was going light them up from day 1 of her pro career. Anyone with a shred of knowledge about women's hoops knew better.

The W is filled with the 144 best players in the world. Not college kids on a free ride to their degree. The level of play is top notch.

Yet these guys wanna come in here, show how loud and ignorant they are, and are being shameless about it.

Don’t blame dudes blame the media and the companies.

It’s the media who put her on another level she has not yet earned.



Remember Diana was called a HATER because she said there is levels to this. Now all her words are coming to true.

Blame the WNBA for disrespecting all the women in the sport by promoting Clark more than all the other women who like you said are good as well.

This is the same WNBA who only aired Angel Reese game after an illegal stream garnered over a million views on Tik tok.

Blame Wilson for giving her own signature ball and she has not even done anything in the W.


Stewie is goated and don’t even got a ball.

If they treated Clark in the same respect as the other stars of the WNBA they you would not have “dudes” giving her smoke.

Since they isolated her from everyone else… she will get isolated smoke.

Nah, we can do both, because while you're 100% right about the media and the league and the isolation of CC and the disrespect given to the players that came before her, that doesn't give dudes a pass for coming in with garbage hot takes about her, some of which are coming from a disingenuous place. Acting like it's somehow crazy for a #1 pick's team to struggle or lose against the frickin Liberty and Sun, two of the sports top veteran clubs, is asinine.

Have these guys watched sports before or nah? I recall The Spurs losing like 17 straight games and none of that energy being directed at CC and the Fever was directed at Wemby and the Spurs. I know what this is about.

Kaleah Cooper is frightening. I'm not sure when BG comes back, but keep an eye on those Mercury. My gal Natasha Cloud had a double double last night vs LV too

Nika Muhl got her visa. I guess someone with some pull stepped in. Good for her, I just wish the visa process would go like that for regular folks too.

Players of the Week: Alyssa Thomas for the East, Napheesa Collier for the West. The Lynx are atop the West at 2-0 so far

Liberty atop the league at 4-0. I'm kinda wondering why we have twice as many games as Western teams?

That's some good perspective. I agree. It'll all work out for CC, the league, and I feel the women's game in general. We're witnessing some real change here and it's exciting to just watch and enjoy.

She has hit one three in her career and has a funky shooting action but hasn't stopped her from being an MVP candidate.

It's frustrating to see how good Alyssa Thomas is playing because it's exactly how Ben Simmons should have turned out if he cared at all about basketball and had a functioning back. She has hit one three in her career and has a funky shooting action but hasn't stopped her from being an MVP candidate.

Her jump shot mechanics are way worse than Ben's too. She's just a way harder worker and actually wants to win games. I don't fault Ben for having a messed up back, but we all know by now that he doesn't give a sh*t and never did.

I never was a Liberty Fan growing up, and Like I said in the NCCAW thread I was rolling with the Sky because of Angel and Kamila.

That was a big win.

Angel Reese has been really strong in the 4th quarters of her games.

She 100% adjusting faster to the physicality than what people tried to say she would.

When JJ hit that layup to give NY the lead I thought "OK, here's where the Liberty take over. A good showing by the Sky nonetheless." Again, I was very pleasantly surprised.

It seemed to me that Stewie wasn't as assertive as she should have been
