A pretty good chance that happens next year, as she has been 23/10 since July 1st.

I really wanted the Fever to finish above .500, so I was a little irritated with the game, especially after the blew the early 20-2 lead. You can see the team really suffers without Mitchell. It was fun toward the end to see the bench players almost pull off the comeback.

Sides took out Mitchell and Boston, and an Indy team that was up 18-2 early in the game immediately got outscored 11-4. Then Sides took out Clark as well, so that all three stars were off the court, Mystics outscored Indy 18-7.

The most disappointing aspect of the game was seeing Hull backtrack once again. She went 0/1/1 in 21 minutes. And don't let the fact that she took only 2 shots lead you to think that her teammates were missing her. She would get the ball on the 3 point line while open, hesitate, and then lose the opportunity. At which point she would either reset the play or (worse) try to make something happen on her own. Just yikes.

The Fever probably match up with the Sun better than any of the other top teams, so that's fortunate. I don't expect them to win, but they should have their moments.

It would be nice if they can steal a game in Connecticut, so that they can get Game #3 at home. Those Indy fans deserve a treat.

Yeap I saw that yesterday and in previous games as well. I want to say it's all in her head. Her teammates and coaches need to give her more confidence in letting it fly and being aggressive on offense. They NEED her and Smith and the others outside the big 3 to produce offense and put pressure on the defense. Too many times Lexie makes a nice drive to the hoop only to pass it out.

As for her blowing wide open layups: Is she afraid of contact? She doesn't seem to go up strong on fast breaks. We all know she can make those all day, but she has a habit of missing the bunnies.

I don't think so. For one, she's a rough and tumble defender who constantly is getting whacked. For another, she's missing bunnies with nobody around. I think she's rushing those shots, worried about a shot blocker coming from behind. That's my best guess.

Well, Indy fans have had a treat all year. But I just realized I had no idea how the WNBA playoff system worked. First round is two out of three, with the higher seed hosting the first two games, with the lower seed hosting a decisive game three if necessary. Kind of an odd setup.

The downtown area around the arena is impressive and has evolved nicely over the last ten seasons. I find everything about it to be beautiful.

The arena is kept cleaned and the Pacers and Feaver have so much going for them. The future is looking bright for the city.

I imagine they will soon switch to a 2-2-1 5-game format for the first round. There's now money (and TV ratings) in the WNBA playoffs.

Wonder what the ratio of Fever to Sun fan will be like. Either way...

30% Fever fans? Also, I have another question. Will away fans stop applauding Clark now that the playoffs have arrived? I mean, eventually all rookie love disappears. Every NBA fan loved Rookie Mike, he was so cool and loveable and the Bulls were no threat. A few years later opposing fans were after him, just as they were after every other team's stars. The same will happen to Clark, only I'm not sure when.

if they're new fans then they may be CC fans and have no existing loyalty to their "local" team.

Sun took away the fast break. Caitlin can have a better shooting night but im not sure Indy will be able to run like they want to.

The Fever need length, bigtime. Clark is long for a PG but hasn't yet learned how to use her size defensively. Mitchell is short. Hull is short for her position. Smith is shortish for her position and compact rather than long. Boston is the right height for her position but not a shot blocker/leaper. So, the Fever get torched on layups, again and again.

Otherwise, I thought that Indy played OK. But that's a bit like saying that other than the Lakota, Custer had a good day at Little Big Horn. Length kills.

They need someone mobile and lengthy next to Boston who can quickly help and challenge shots. Boston is good when she's in position and can concentrate on one side of the floor, but she is not a second and third leaper and is a little bit slow of foot.

They just plain need better defensive personnel, overall. I'm not worried about their offense long term, but they need to get more athletic and quick.
