Haha. I like him, but Dick Fain is an acquired tasted, for sure.

My personal favorite is the Mystics. Christy Winters-Scott and Meghan McPeak are phenomenal.

Your Fever are really good too with Debbie.

Credible reports (Annie) that DeWanna Bonner wants out of Indiana.

Reportedly wants to go to Phoenix or Atlanta (was always a shock she didn't go to Phoenix in the first place).

Biased but I think she'd be a great fit on the Storm too.

Hard to imagine a trade would work with her salary.

I assume if she I really wants out, she's okay with taking a massive pay cut and just getting released.

Indy could use the cap/roster space too.

Yeah I said this the other day in the Fever thread, she has basically left the team.

I dunno man the vibes in Indiana seem different from last year. Something isn't right.

Turnovers were a killer. Mystics really struggled to score on us in the halfcourt.

Personally, I think it's as simple as Caitlin isn't quite healthy (and her style of play doesn't offer much leeway for leg issues).
And I'd guess with DW it just wasn't a good basketball fit.

For the team, I have no worries at all.
They went into Seattle last night and beat a good team when CC was off.

They dominated the boards, and Boston was unstoppable.
I think part of the reason Seattle couldn't grab rebound was they were so worried about giving up transition buckets. At least when it comes to the lack of O-boards for Seattle. The O-boards for Indy were just Indy wanting it more (defense worried about 35 footers obviously helps there too).

You keep CC in check, you jump passing lanes well, minimize transition points......and the Fever still kicked their ass.

Indy seems fine to me (as long as CC is healthy).

On Seattle, Noelle Thibodeaux played 6 players once again.
And #6 (AC) didn't quite have it.

Not totally critical of Noelle because I'm not sure where else she can go. Maybe some more minutes for Dom, but she's still incredibly raw. Zia has looked good in spots, but Lexie hasn't shown anything. The Horston/Muhl/KLS injuries were devastating.
The Li Yureru trade made sense, but it didn't look good last night when Li was dominating the Dream.

I don't know the answer, but only playing 6 players when 4 of them are over 30 seems problematic.

Curious if they'll be looking at whoever the Valkyries have to let to of when all the EuroBasket people return.

And I"m never going to miss an opportunity to push the Sug Sutton agenda.

Sorry to our Lynx faithful. Despite Alanna's best efforts, you just ran into the best young team in the league last night.

Kiki and Sonia are the truth. Shakira has the talent to be among the best bigs in the league one day. Slim wasn't there for this one, but she's a sure fire AS talent. AE and Jade are great young players still developing. Big Mama and Engstler just make it an embarrassment of riches.

But Sug is the true head of the snake.

You don't see CW and KB have bad games at the same time very often.
But they don't play Sug and Citron very often.

Sug is going to lock it down on defense and make the right play on offense.
All these other great young players can just do their thing knowing Sug has everything under control on both ends.

Playing 6 players is highly problematic. The other players were good enough to make the roster. Figure it out.

Yeah I'm just a little concerned. They don't get out and run as much. It's early and I'm also overreacting because DB left.

Boston is gonna be a hall of famer. She just continues to grow like crazy.

That was a hell of a game.

A lot of respect for the Liberty sneaking out of there with a win. Especially with the injuries and Sab being ice cold. She may be the hometown girl, but she's going to have to play a lot better than that if she wants a chance to get on this loaded Valkyries roster next year (sorry, MDB, had to).

Fitting that Kamilla's 3 the other night was in Rickea's face.

Kamilla has hit 2 three-point shots in her life.
Rickea was on the floor for both.

Kim Caldwell looks like a fantastic hire, but I thought Kellie Harper got raw deal.
The Lady Vols had the SEC tournament won, in a year where South Carolina went 38-0.

But they shouldn't have.

Vols were SEC tournament champions until Kamilla hit the first 3-pointer of her life. And Kellie Harper was fired shortly after.

Caldwell is awesome, but that's a raw deal. If Caldwell wins an SEC tournament in the Dawn/Mulkey/Vic era, that would be considered a wild success. Harper basically did it and got fired.

As Aari is kicking Plum's ass again, it's important to remember last year's best post-game interview.

It was after the lowly Sparks had just kicked the Aces' butts. Aari had the biggest game of her career. Torching Plum for most of it.

In the post-game interview, Aari didn't hold back. Said she played a year with Plum at Washington, so she knew that Plum didn't want to play no defense.

Rickea was laughing her ass off during this interview.

Things change fast around here. Aari in Indy and now Rickea is a teammate of Plum.
