I miss this league. The NBA is boring as hell compared to the W.

I really don't want them to do this again. The pressure on Sabrina was enormous. There's really nothing to prove and even if Sabrina/CC were to win, which is a legit possibility, I can only imagine the vitriol that would come from it.
I think the league needs to pass on this stuff, but that's just me.

I don't know if the product is just bad or what but there's a difference in excitement. Any W match up i would be running to watch. NBA outside of the Knicks? Meh.
It also doesn't help that NBA players are dropping like flies due to injury.

I hope it goes well. What he did at FGCU is pretty impressive.
He was hired before they even had a Women's basketball program. Then brought them from D2 to the Atlantic Sun. And then 4 wins in the NCAA Tourney over the last 10 years.

So yeah yall the dirt being spilled out of Seattle right now is a horrible look. Seems like that team was a drama filled mess all summer long.
That's the one thing you have to be careful of when trying to throw together "super teams". If someone is an ass hole it can derail everything

seems like it was mostly a coaching issue, it's up to the coaches to get everyone bought in.

This is the commentary all over social media that I have. For my first season as a WNBA fan - i see it because the W season is so short that every game matters more. NBA season is long and I truly dislike the player empowerment era where they all sit out for load management.

The league is just not fun to watch anymore for me. I can't wait for Unrivaled to start

I saw some...not very flattering accusations being made about Skylar's behavior as well.

yeah.. but depending on what skylar said or did i'm not too sure. i heard about the profanity laced tirades in practice but I mean.. we know how guys like jordan and kobe were moving in practice. i get that skylar isn't that caliber of player but i'm sure it wasn't limited to just those guys.
it kinda seems like skylar, noelle quinn and nneka were 1 faction and jewell loyd was the other one who actually started the complaints.
as i understand it, i think it's on noelle quinn to get jewell loyd to buy in ultimately, or maybe it was just unsalvageable who knows

Methinks she's criminally underpaid.

https://www.espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/42785886/jewell-loyd-requests-trade-seattle-storm-investigation-concludes-finds-no-violationsApparently, it was Jewell Loyd that filed the complaint about the Storm, and is now seeking a trade.
Obviously, I have no idea what was going on, but it's wild that it would be Jewell. Been there forever, played with Quinn, had a natural time to leave when Stewie did, and actively recruited Nneka and SDS a year ago.
I just hope it works out for everybody involved.
If she really wants out, and can find her 3-point shot again, the Sky or Sparks could use a good veteran guard. The Sky have a bunch of cap space and she's from Chicago.

God what a mess. I don't blame Jewel for wanting out.
