Chances these players come over to NBA?
I'm from the U.S; so I can't really get updates on these players like some international fans can.
Anyways, here's a list. Please chime in on the likelihood of these players coming over.
Lior Eliyahu (I personally think he's a better prospect than Casspi)
Joel Freeland
Fran Vasquez (buyout)
Cenk Akyol (buyout)
Petteri Koponen
Brad Newley
Giorgos Printezis

Lior Eliyahu = very doubtful, he will get a BIG contract this summer
Joel Freeland = probably, the Blazers are obsessed with foreign players it seems
Fran Vasquez = probably, he's good and Orlando needs him
Cenk Akyol = doubt it, but you never know
Petteri Koponen = probably, (again Blazers), but he sucks at the moment
Brad Newley = I would think so, he fits the Rockets well, he's athletic, Australian players prefer the NBA
Giorgos Printezis = probably, Raptors are also obsessed with foreign players, plus he's extremely athletic

Eliyahu is talking to a few ACB clubs, I suppose he'll stay in Europe for a couple of years more. Freeland will eventually make the jump, although he's not ready yet. Vasquez can be a good option for Orlando if they lose Gortat; but I'm not sure Fran wants to play in the NBA. Akyol, no. Koponen will have to improve a lot, he sucks. Newley and Printezis, who knows. Printezis would be more helpful, although I'm not sure if he has a NBA position.

The only player on that list who could be productive in the NBA is Vazquez. The rest are bums.

He's a free-agent this Summer. Very productive player, although a little bit prone to have bad games; he could be a good pick-up for a team looking for an athletic face-up 4, ideally someone planning to play up-tempo. He isn't a very good rebounder and his defence is unimpressive. His current team will break the bank to attempt to re-sign him, but they're facing some financial struggles.

According to you as soon as ANY of them signed an NBA contract they would instantly be "legit". Seeing as how the worst player in the NBA would be the MVP in the Euroleague and all.............

I never called Jasikevicius, Spanoulis, or Navarro legit when they signed NBA contracts. They're all sub-par NBA players and Euroleague MVPs. I call them Euroleague wonders.
I don't think the worst player in the NBA could dominate the Euroleague, NCAA, or NBDL. Where do you get these ideas? You must have an extreme inferiority or victim complex.
Were Langdon, Morris, Greer, McIntyre, Hamilton, Brown, Edney, Blair, Smith, Alexander, Ford (RIP), and Parker the worst players in the NBA? I don't think so. However, besides Parker, none of them were ever productive players in the league. American players Beard, McDonald, Bullock, Griffith, and Nichols couldn't even make it onto an NBA team.
Imo, Vasquez is the only player on that list who could have an impact because of his size. It should be interesting to see how Printezis plays if he signs with Toronto. Greek players haven''t had any success in the NBA. Maybe the game is too fast for them.

There hasn't been that many Greek players in the league. And for those that have, they were put in horrible situations.

Nachbar just terminated his contract with Dynamo and he wants to go back to NBA. Which teams do you think could use him? I think Atlanta would be a good fit if Childress doesn't come back ...

But when was Parker a productive player in the NBA? Only when he joined Toronto, AFTER being in Europe. I bet that if he had never returned, you'd put him in the MCIntyre, Greer, Morris, Bullock, etc. group.
I think that's what you are missing. Players develop their games throughout their career (at least some of them). The fact that McIntyre wasn't a productive NBA player a few years ago doesn't mean he can't be one now. It has happened over and over: from Bill Laimbeer to Mario Elie, from Bruce Bowen to Stephen Jackson, from Parker to Will Bynum. Who's the Nichols you've mentioned? Austin Nichols? Why do you assume he can't be a serviceable starter in the NBA?
I agree that Vasquez is the only one with a good chance of being a serviceable NBA player from all those guys, but how can you rule out a kid like Freeland or even Eliyahu?
