Post#1 » by streetp0et » Fri Jul 17, 2009 10:28 pm

can someone fill me in on how a regular season of euroleague is scheduled like? i look up stats of some euroleague players and they only seem to play around 20 games a season?

also, why are their stats so low compare to nba? different styles of play, different rules?

Regular season: 10 games for each team.

Top 4 teams from each group goes through to the top 16.

Top 16: Each team plays 6 games.

Top 2 teams from each group go through to quarter finals.

Quarter finals: Best of 5 series.

Final fours: Semi finals, then either the final or 3rd/4th place game.

Euroleague teams also play domestic competitions. For example, Rockets' David Anderson, former Barcelona, played last season:

23 Euroleague games
1 Supercopa ACB game
2 Copa del Rey games
44 ACB games (spanish league)
2 Lliga Catalana de Basquet games

so a total of 72 games.

Yes, there are different styles of play and different rules (an obvious one is that the games are shorter) that bring individual stats down.
