Pretty strong, considering they have 8 of their A squad players.

I'm glad they got some young talent on there like Juan Hernandez. They were definitely not helping themselves with the same old roster since 2002.

I saw some games of Argentina U20 and you got some good players for the future, unlike my Brazil

That game was really crazy! It had 2 OT and a major dunk from Jaway ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQBkC60FpGs )

Argentina is a really bad team without their main players.

Lost by almost 20 against Venezuela. Total joke. Ginobili and Nocioni not only add skills but winning character.

Lost by 9 against Brazil. Even Prigioni is sucking. The only one who saves is Scola

As bad as they're playing, they're still going to make it to Turkey via a wildcard invitation.

Somewhat undeserving based on their performance

I don't think the wild cards make the tournament automatically though. I am pretty sure the wild cards still have to play a qualifying tournament first. I could be wrong though.

Having moved to Buenos Aires from Sweden recently I find my "new" national team really enjoyable to watch during the Tournament of the Americas.

True, they lack some of their best and most known players:

1. Manu
3. Nocioni
4. Delfino
5. Oberto
6. Herrmann

Luis Scola is carrying a huge load, and he's playing really well. Prigioni has been solid, but other than those two major contributions has been random.

But it's great to see a struggling team fight hard, and keeping on playing disciplined team basketball. Tonight they beat the Dominican Republic, a team that has 4 players with NBA experience in Al Horford, Charlie Villanueva, Francisco Garcia and Luis Flores. Argentina had less talent but won the game.

Scola was chosen the MVP, but at least Brazil won the tournament yesterday by 1 point against Puerto Rico.

Lets see what Brazil can do in World Cup with some nice addictions in Nene, Baby and Paulão.
