Llull can play SG which is what Rodriguez plays, so it makes sense. In the end, I think this is good for Spain since they're giving their young players some experience at the highest level.

You can change Garbajosa's club affiliation now - Real Madrid for the next two seasons.

BTW - Spain's Under-16 team won the gold last night at the European Championships, defeating Lithuania on Lithuanian soil, 70-64. For Spain's men and women, this is the SEVENTH medal won this summer in European and World play. Seems like it's not just the Pau show...

Lithuania beat Spain 94-72.

Lithuania: Linas Kleiza and Tomas Delininkaitis - 19, Marijonas Petravičius 14, Kšyštofas Lavrinovičius 10, Jonas Mačiulis 7, Darjušas Lavrinovičius 6, Mindaugas Lukauskis and Simas Jasaitis - 5.

Spain: Marc Gasol 15, Jorge Garbajosa 13, Ricky Rubio 9.

Haha, it's nice to see a powerhouse like Spain actually play in an opponents environment for once.

If only the USA did the same........

I believe this was said to be the first game in the last 10 years that Spain did not play in Spain. As for USA they are scheduled to play 2 games in Athens against Greece at OAKA next year.

In 2006 (yeah, before we beat Greece in the World Championship) Spain played a tournament in Singapur, against, as I can remeber, Argentina, Slovenia, and other NTs. And won it.
