But there is no chance Maric plays for Serbia. NO chance. He needs specific clearance from Basketball Australia, and obviously they say get outta here. So im looking forward to watching Bogut, Maric, Jawai, Andersen & Ogilvy duke it out for a Boomers big man spot..

Sorry Serbia.

PS. Bogut never applied to play for Croatia.

Exactly. Australia has to grant him permission to play for Serbia. It's not like he can just say he wants to and that's it. As far as Maric and Andersen go......Andersen is a good player on offense and he is being played out of position by the Rockets which makes it harder for him on defense and rebounding. He will be fine in time for them. But Maric is already after 8 games of experience a bigger force than Andersen ever was in Europe.

I hate having to find your posts... Bird Magic/KWSN...I think you should be never banned because you provide such joy to the world

Australia has Bogut, Anderson, Jawai, I doubt it'd bother them too much.

And they also have another F/C in Matt Nielsen that could easily play in the Euroleague or the NBA if he wanted to. Australia is 4 deep at the 4/5, so it's true that they don't necessarily need Maric. However, I think it's safe to say that Maric is better than Nielsen, Jawai, and Andersen. Actually, he may me better than Bogut is also. So I am sure if Australia had their choice in the matter they would want him to play for them.

lol, your obviously clueless to say he is may be better than Bogut also. You obviously haven't seen Nielsen play either. Maybe Jawai and definetly not Andersen. Have you seen Andersen play in the Euroleague?? You should, you woulnt have posted this.
