Sure but give Pop Kerr's roster and Kerr Pop's roster. Much better players committed this time around. It's stunning how USA didn't maximize team strengths.

I think it was also the time when FIBA switched years for WC closer to Olympics. Still seeing the repercussions now.

First goal was to qualify for Olympics. Both teams 2019 and now did that. All else are expectations and bonuses. Hopefully it's another wake up call.

I feel sorry for NBA fans who might want to continue following FIBA basketball after seeing this tournament. This tournament is on another level and people shouldn't expect to see as much high scoring as we've seen in these games. Teams usually score 60 to 90 points in a game.

So, the US got an extremely easy draw for the 1st group stage, since then, they lost 3 out of 4, with the lone win against Italy who had a really bad team and made it to the 2nd stage by miracle win against Serbia.
This is the US B team, but this is a roster talented enough to win, Steve Kerr roster construction, and the lack of bigs on that roster, and his insistence on playing small, resulted in this embarrassing outcome.
