He'd make a great backup to Milutinov

I wonder if Bogdanovic > SGA will be a thing now since it has been very popular through this tournament anytime Canada won.

I just do not see how USA(if they pass Germany) will be able to stop Milutinov in the paint. Montenegro first then Lithuania exposed USA weakness of guarding big PF's and centers. For sure Serbia will have a game plan, but this plan will start at defensive end of the court first.

They do have the personel to contain Bogi, and not **** their pants against Serbian perimeter defenders like Canada did in non-SGA minutes.
USA beats you on perimeter play and on the fastbreak, the question is how much can you hurt them under the basket.

Yea another difference is that the US has better leadership overall. Any member of their coaching staff can speak and guys will listen. With CAN it was just Jordi. The US also knows that Serbia will try to exploit the low post weakness the way Lithuania did. So it won't be a surprise when it happens. CAN looked shocked by how SRB was attacking the low post and just how confident their perimeter guys were.

And regarding defense Bogi, yea that's a tough assignment. The guy just knows how to get his balance on his shots regardless of the defense. That said, the US can throw Edwards, Hart, Bridges and Edwards on him. Canada really only had Dort and Brooks cause everyone else is too small. Brooks ended up in foul trouble and Dort looked kinda clumsy overall.

That said, Serbia is a force. They have legit ballers who are all used to one game pressure elimination game situations.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

He was really good in previous FIBA tournaments too. One of those guys that shows real pride playing for their country like Luka, Markannen. Wish he signed with the Suns. Started posting here to provide updates for Suns fans while he was still in EL and Suns had his rights.

Yep apparently Lauri wanted to join Mavs at some point but Cuban obviously said no. He would be good for probably any team.

2 early fouls on a superstar (SGA) is the time tested way for refs to affect the point spread.

Yeah basically, it is small ball versus "big ball". We will see Serbia runs in transition as well, I am eager to see what bookies say.

Too bad really he is playing for a mediocre treadmill team like Atlanta. He deserves to be with a contender. He's signed witht he Hawks until 2026 so we can only hope he's traded.

Atlanta the only treadmilll team in history to make the ECF two seasons ago. Hes not getting traded or Atlanta doesn’t sign him to an extension.

I think so….jk but Bogdan if he’s healthy (which has been the problem lately) has always been pretty underrated.
