It is and almost all of them have this chemistry. Until they get punched in the face and they forget how to play basketball. So the question really is if when can USA can start dominating them in stretches (like in the Lithuania loss they discovered the formula but ran out of time)

USA is too small. Germany is gonna get everything they want in the paint. Sad that the country that produced the likes of Karl Malone, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Garnett is now playing 6'5 power forwards.

That's the big advantage over non-Euro teams that cobble together different rosters for every international tournament. Now with international talent catching up, the team cohesion and national systems not only stand out but show they can beat talent more recently put together.

Regarldess of anything, USA should be pretty ashamed of how bad their defense has ben this tournament. It starts with Trip and Bridges, but the whole team effort has been completely lacking. Team USA typically tries to overwhelm ball handlers with pressure and traps, but I don't even see that. They just sort of go through the motions and move wherever the offense wants them to. Good teams have been able to get into their sets and run whatever they want against the US.

Good start for Germany. The question really for these teams is the quality of the bench since USA's won't dip too much like the other teams. Another bad start for Team USA, which is a surprise.
