I think Dennis really takes a step back in this game. He doesn't force things too much and plays much more than a true PG instead of looking for his own shots. Great game by him and I don't really get the criticism today..

I think it's more of a case of that "playing like this got me to this point, so I'm gonna keep doing what has always worked for me" mentality. It's the same reason he kept shooting against Latvia. Ultimately, without that delusional self confidence he'd never have made the NBA, but at the same time it just isn't the best mindset to have in every single situation.

Jordan Clarkson was heavily expected to be dealt by the Jazz a year ago. Instead, they've featured him a lot anywhere they could and gave him a bigger role than many expected. He figures to start this season, where most people think he's better suited as a 6th man.

Is this partly a smart marketing move for Ryan Smith and the Jazz, enabling more exposure in the Phillipines with Clarkson playing for their team, and keeping the 1M mormons in PH in the back of their mind?
