The next one is in 2026.

Entitled Americans maybe, everyone else seems to be keen on playing and representing their countries.
Jokic? Giannis?
NBA players play more games, more minutes per game, in a shorter span of time and travel much more. They play in a more physically gifted league and at the highest level of the competition. They also earn a lot more money. It has nothing to do with entitlement.

Facts. In addition, FIBA players are eager to play against NBA guys, whereas the sentiment isn't reciprocated. I doubt Jokic wishes he had the opportunity to prove he's better than Thiemann.

It’s not. It’s 2027 in Qatar back to back with 2028 Olympics in LA.
NBA players will have the same problem and FIBA just might get Tier 2 players again.

Oh yeah, LA... With the host qualifier, tier 3 probably gets sent next time

How this team doesn’t have a 6’10”ish wing that can play defense and rebound to play PF if we want to play small is insane. Even someone like Jaden McDaniels would have helped. You can’t go solely with one real big, especially when that big is not a good rebounder.
We gave up 113 points in a 40 minute game. That’s lack of rebounding, lack of defensive size, and a defensive scheme that allowed Reaves and Brunson to get hunted over-and-over again.
Its just delusional Lakers fans who are overhyping this average dude. He is not a star and he will never be. I get that he's a steal considering his background and he is playing on a good contract but he has no business playing on a USA team.Dacost wrote:I hate how some fans say Austin Reaves was carrying the team.
Dude is an awful defender and every single game teams when straight at him.
It was embarrassing to say the least.

Jokic just came off the back of a championship run with a shitton of games and winning finals MVP. Giannis was injured. I think both have pretty logical excuses unlike most of the team USA players that were no shows.

Why not at least get Evan Mobley? Why the hell are we leaving a kid born and raised in California to sit at home while a rookie Kessler is the only true 5 on the roster?

Mobley won't be physically ready to bang with centers like the world has until 2028, he's like Jackson right now in that he's better off playing the 4 currently. Kerr did wrong with Kessler.
If anything, just bring Looney next time, or even your boy Mark Williams.
