tough loss olympiacos, but barca came out the better team today.

most likely navarro is going to receive final four mvp.

i'm thinking that olympiacos will win.

kleiza, childress, teodosic, papaloukas individually are going to be too much for regal.

sofo is going to be another important factor defending the paint and not letting anybody get easy baskets.

bottom line, if olympiacos can break up regal's passes then it's locked.

Olympiacos is the more talented team. Ultimately, I think Papaloukas' championship experience will be the deciding factor in a Olympiacos win. Lets remember that Barca is being led by a 20 year old Rubio who is playing in his first Euroleague Final. I can't really say that I'm optimistic about Barca's chances.

Olympiacos' coach is an idiot, they have great depth but their coach can't use it properly, and they have Childress on the floor on the perimeter and he can't shoot and Klieza is on the perimeter and he can't create his own shot good enough. Those are huge issues against a team like Barca.

Certainly there is no doubt that Olympiacos is a more talented team, they are stronger basically almost man to man at every spot in the rotation. But they will have to play much smoother offense to beat Barca.

Olympiacos should win but they are a flawed team. On the other hand, Barca is just a predictable overrated team that has probably run its course. They play hard defense and they are deep and they hit a lot of threes. The problem is if they don't hit the threes they are only able to win by playing a lock down defense game, which probably won't work with Olympiacos.

If it was Barca versus the old CSKA or a healthy PAO I think it would be easy that Barca would lose to a better team, but I'm not sure with Olympiacos, they don't seem to be a very smart club other than Papaloukas.

Basically, IMHO the game is decided on Navarro. If he hits his shots Barca will win, if he misses they will lose. So I expect Giannakis to roll out Vasilopoulos to guard Navarro and if he plays his normal defense he will shut down Navarro and Olympiacos will win. Vasilopoulos has a bad back though so he might not be able to play his normal defense.

Still, you can't trust Barca. They have a team that is super reliant on outside shooting, a coach that has a one trick pony mentality like a D'Antoni and they have a 19 year old point guard going against Papaloukas. Seems a bit too much for Barca even though Olympiacos isn't as good as the champions of recent times with the previous CSKA and PAO teams.

What a game, that is all. Nerve racking from start to finish. We're so due for this, plus it can be the perfect sendoff for Sofo who will make the NBA jump finally.

Barça has a 19 yo PG with an olympic final experience under his belt...just saying...

Not the same thing. Navarro did almost all the running the offense in that game in the second half. Rubio hasn't played in any game that big where he is asked to run the plays.

Teodosic is sick but he will probably play. Olympiacos has the three best players in Europe in Teodosic, Kleiza and Childress, but I think both teams have an equal chance of winning.
