this guy made a name for himself the past four days in the u-18 fiba americas, definately on nba radar if he wasn't already, dropped 22 pts, 14 rebs, 3 blocks in the final game against the US, athletic lanky seven footer who reminds me of joakim noah/anderson varejao but still only 18 so he has time to improve his bball iq and offensive game........he signed with Estudiantes

Definitely the next brazilian big. Averaged in that tournament 15.6 ppg / 10 rpg / 5.4 bpg

Also keep this name in your sight: Raul Togni Neto (15.4ppg / 5.2 astg / 1.6 spg / 53.8 3PT%). Streaky shooter, floor general PG also with NBA future

I´d say the best comparasion to Lucas is Dwight Howard without all those muscles, but with a couple of inches more and a better freethrow shot.

This guy seems to be the real deal. Would be shocked if he slipped out of the lottery in upcoming drafts. He is a bit raw obvs, but there is so much potential.

When is he eligible to enter the draft? 2011 or 2012?

He looks like a top prospect in his youtube highlights, there's no denying that.

I believe in 2012, but not sure.

actually he was born in 1992 so he can enter 2011 draft
but most mock drafts put him in the 2012
Draftexpress doesn't seem to be impressed with him,he is the 29 pick in their 2012 mock draft
but I do think he will be a lottery even in 2011 draft,he is just too big,too athletic and with huge potential

No way he enters this year's draft. 2013 is the most realistic, I think. He was called to play for Estudiantes main team in the Eurocup this week, btw.

From what I've heard, there are some major worries about Lucas' maturity and work ethic. Hopefully he can realize asap that working hard and humbleness are even more important than being 7'0'' for the success of his career.
