3 point line..Euroleague? National Leagues?
The 3 point lines is moving back for FIBA in 2010, will that include the Euroleague and national leagues such as the ACB?

Yes, the 3 point line will be moved out further next year in the European leagues. The lane will also be changed to a rectangle shape.

No charge circle won't be too far away either. 2012 from memory.

Yes, I'm Spanish and the pavilion of my hometown team is adapting to the new measures.

The no charge circle was already added in most European leagues last season.

Actually, most European leagues did not include a no-charge circle last season. One of them, Spain's ACB, had it two years ago, then removed it at FIBA's behest.
After the 2010 Worlds in Turkey, several important rules changes will come into effect in every league in the world which applies FIBA rules:
- The 3-point shot line will be moved back from 6.25 to 6.75 meters – that's an extra 20 inches, from 20 feet, 6 inches to 22 feet, 2 inches (approx.)
- A no-charge circle, 1.25 meters in diameter from the center of the basket (projected to the floor) will be drawn and enforced.
- The 3-second lane will be modified to the NBA rectangular shape.
- In the frontcourt, on inbounds plays after a violation by the defensive team, the clock will be reset to 14 seconds, not 24, if there are fewqer5 than 14 sceonds left on it – as in the NBA.

Re: 3 point line..Euroleague? National Leagues?
Several of the leagues, including the Euroleague, already had the no charge circle last year. The Euroleague added it during the playoffs last year. The only thing I don't like about these new rules changes is that they are extending the 3 point line, but leaving the court the same size (smaller than the NBA court size). The corner 3 will be really difficult to execute now without turning the ball over.
You can see how the new FIBA court will look from the pictures of the Euroleague club Union Olimpija's new arena because they of course designed the new court to the new rules. Here is what the new FIBA court will look like:

Actually the three-point line will be closer down the sidelines (as it is in the NBA): 6.60 meters/21 feet 8 inches.

Yes, but it is still further than it was before, and they did not widen the court size, which is already narrower than the NBA court is. Last season the LEB already played under these new rules and they had about 3 turnovers a game from players stepping on the out of bounds line while trying to shoot the corner three point shot.

There's exactly 90 centimeters - almost three feet - between the three-point line and the sideline in FIBA basketball with the new rules. The arc is 13.2 meters wide there, and the court 15 meters. That's plenty of space to get a jump shot off (even in the wheelchair league you can get it off). If they can't do it - well, they deserve to be playing in the LEB league.

But you forget how big some guys shoes are, now take a step back. It's very easy to step on the out of bounds line if you are not careful.

The stupidity of that remark is... remarkable.

Re: 3 point line..Euroleague? National Leagues?
FIBA needs to move the distance of the 3 back point line back for sure, but I don't understand why they are only moving it back a little bit and not all the way out to NBA distance. It's a big change to make, so why do it to the same as the NBA so the game has universal court markings? Why go through all the hassle only to still have two different three point lines in the NBA and Europe?
I know here in England were going to have big problems. Not all of the schools and leisure centers are going to get the courts altered to the new three point distance. So as a result we are going to have some courts with the new 3 point line and some with the old 3 point line.
It'll be years until all the places get around to updating the courts.

From what FIBA said they are doing it in stages, because the courts have to be lengthened and widened to the NBA size if they extend the 3 point line all the way out. For every single court to be modified that much is a problem, because a lot of courts don't have enough room to do that.
So they are going to put the 3 point line to NBA distance and make the court bigger eventually, but they are doing it in stages. If I remember right they said they will revisit that after the 2012 Olympics are over.
