I read last night on Interbasket that Israel is gonna make a run for Jordan Farmar, Jon Scheyer and Sylven Landesberg. I knew the first two were Jews, I didn't realize Landesberg was. Israel is rabid about bball, they're gonna put out a pretty good team pretty soon, but I don't think all three could play for Israel according to FIBA rules.

Israel is a non-factor in international basketball and the additions of a/m players is not going to change that fact in the foreseeble future. Regrettably, the claim argumented borders ignorance. Two recent college semi-prospects and one nba bench-warmer allegedly making a NT highly competitive in years to come is beyond my scope of understanding of international basketball.
Moreover, the same situation would have applied for Israeli clubs had not tons of amercians been acquired from overseas over the years to make up the bulk of their roosters.
