Come on man it's not like hes doing this at the U16's world championships or something like that, it's just a friendly tournament, plus you can never really trust China with the ages of their athletes.....

Let's see how he does against older, more developed, stronger kids before getting carried away, 16 is to young to tell anything.

Uh, no you couldn't. No offense, but it's ignorant comments like this that frustrate the heck out of me. This was a premier U16 tourney in Turkey and China beat the top Euro teams that were there; France, Germany and Turkey for the gold. Most current European NBA players have played in this and similar tournaments.

From someone that was at the game:

I just finished watching the game and all I can say is that Qi Zhou ist unbelievable. If his age is real, I really believe that he can become one of the best players in the world. He is so agile and fast and has incredible ballhandling skills for his size. And his jumpshot is one of the smoothest I have ever seen from a player of his age and size. Amazing. And I really think that his age is legit, because he has a very young face.
And the point guard of China Zhou was also very good.

Im the one who wrote that in the other board, and yeah I say it again. This guy is incredibly good. He is 7'1 and played like a SF at times. He really has amazing foot speed and ballhandling skills. And his Shoot is really really good. He hit all of his midrange shots I think.
And he is an incredible shot blocker too. In the first quarter he nearly blocked everything that came near the ring. We had no answer for him. Hes just an amazing talent.

And to the one who said, that the tournament wasnt good competition: This tournament is the best in europe outside the U16 euro championship. Turkey, France, Germany, Russia and Slovenia all have very good young players and competed with their best players at the tournament.
And as i said I think that his age is legit. But even if he is 1-2 years older, it doesnt change the fact that he can become a very very good player.
