The Skops somehow upset Croatia.

Ukraine nearly stormed back but just barely lost to Slovenia.

What's the general feeling after the first 2 days?
I think Turkey, Greece, Serbia and Lithuania presented their respective candidacies to the European crown.
Spain and France are in opposite sides of the same road: France played well enough and won but it always seems like they can melt down and collapse when the important moment comes and Spain didn't play convincingly despite managing to win but is expected to improve as the tournament goes on.

Spain probably going to cruise to the knockout round and steamroll everybody after that. unless magically Turkey can find a legit guard.

Eh Croatia played extremely soft and inexplicably forgot about Bojan Bogdanovic and compounded their defensive woes by forcing him (Bojan) to cover Bo McCalebb when the game got tight.

I wish you are right, but even if our typical hard nosed D is there, our offense is just awful. Our snipers cant hit a lick...Personally i will be happy if will advance to the olympics...

France you expect to fall apart in the knockout stage.

Spain is dicking around. They looked abysmal in the '09 groups yet turned it on when needed. They're still the heavy favorites.

So you think Diaw, Seraphin, Noah > Dirk + Kaman + Backups? Seriously?
Dirk by himself is better than all 3 combined and Kaman has been playing like a beast for most of the two games of the tournament (didn't play well for 3 quarters but he had 10 and 8 in the 4th Q last night and stepped up like a boss). If Dirk and Kaman keep up that level of play (I even think there's still room for improvement for both of them) all Frances bigs are gonna be able to do is sit back and watch the show.

Stopping Parker with our guards is gonna be a huge challenge though. Hamann was absolutely terrible last night (he's playing with a stiff back) and Schaffartzik is primarily known for his offensive skills. Herber and Schwethelm will have to step up, too. But they'll mostly be needed on the other guards. If Benzing is healthy he should at least be able to give Batum a challenge on D and limit him on offense.

Should be a nailbiter but I'm somewhat confident we can win this.

The guards in the German team are not very good in Defense. Herber is the best they got for defense. The advantage for Germany are the forwards and center.
France has big names but they still don't play well as a team. Germany has a chance to win this.

just realized how brutal Group E is going to be. it's one thing to have uneven groups in the first stage, but 6 biggest contenders ending up in the same group is just unfortunate.

Greece versus the Skops could be a blood bath. A lot of political hatred.
