My advice would be if you wanna try to make basketball career and you feel you have room for improvement I suggest you to choose more known basketball countries in EU rather than Ireland. Because even playing for Spain 3rd league on one of the bottom teams competition would be tougher, coaches, staff are better so you will have better chance of improvement also there will be way more scouts who will look for talent for their teams so better opportunities to be resognised. I suggest googling some agencies or scouts and send them your videos with measurements maybe you will get lucky and get invite in to preseason camp...

You have asked me on the other thread about the wages in Cyprus. A Greek player 34 y/o 6'10 with plenty experience in 2nd div in Greece offered him less than 1000 euros...

If you played college basketball and contributed to your team you are most likely good enough to play in Ireland, especially if you have an Irish passport. Whether or not you are good enough to play as their American is less certain. Leagues with only one real pro player expect a lot of production. If you just want to play in Ireland and be around family, then go for it, but if you are hoping to climb the ladder you would be much better off in a different league. I did play in the Irish super league.

There is nothing super about the Irish super league. 6'7 is probably big enough to play the post in Ireland but I've noticed they got some D1 players and high level D2 players over there. Unless you put up 15 and 8-10 rebounds for somebody like NW Missouri State or Minnesota State forget about it. Not too many have done that... and for those that have they struggle for jobs that pay 800 to 1200 euros a month. If you want to travel think about being a teacher or something.

^ I can confirm this. While some have moved on from the Irish league, it mostly accepts D3/D2 players.
