Making the best hypotetical current Yugoslavia team

I know this is a purely hypotethical if not a fantasy team, but it just shocks me how much talent comes from this small place. I think that the (fantasy) Yugoslavia team could challenge even the team US and would be a lock for a medal position on Olympics, Worlds and Europeans

The pool of possible players is really really deep. You would be able to go many ways, really make a team with different intentions on mind..

PG: Goran Dragić, Teodosič, Udrih, Ukić, Nedović, Micić, Marković
SG: Bogdan Bogdanović, Zoran Dragič, Simon, Blažič
SF: Bojan Bogdanović, Đedović, Murić, Kalinić, Rudež, Domen Lorbek
PF: Teletović, Šarić, Nachbar, Nemanja Bjelica, Savanović, Dubljevic
C: Peković, Raduljica, Tomić, Krstić, Begić, Vućević,Marjanović, Nurkić, Bilan, Vidmar, Žorić

Its crazy how many high-level centers there are..
I have no idea how i would make the final 12 men roster..
Maybe i would try with the following:

PG: Teodosić - Udrih
SG: Goran Dragić - Zoran Dragić - Bogdan Bogdanović
SF: Bojan Bogdanović - Kalinić
PF: Teletović - Šarić
C: Raduljica - Peković - Begić

4x Serbian, 4x Slovenian, 2x Croatian, 1x Bosnian, 1x Montenegrin

Kalinić and Begić are worse players than some others who would be able to play, but they fit the certain needs of the team..
There are just so many options to fill out the 12 roster spots...

You can easily make 3 teams and all of them would be medal contenders in Eurobasket. If I had to pick 12 on a spot, I would go with...

PG : Goran Dragić / Milos Teodosić
SG : Bogdan Bogdanović / Zoran Dragić / Krunoslav Simon
SF : Bojan Bogdanović / Nemanja Bjelica
PF : Dario Šarić / Mirza Teletović
C : Nikola Peković / Nikola Vučević / Nenad Krstić

Agreed..
The third teams backourt would be a bit weak though.. But still a really really strong frontcourt.

I'm not sure this is such a great Yugo team when it comes to the very top players, compared to other eras. It's certainly far from the Yugoslavian teams from late 80s and 90s. And you can come up with Yugo fantasy teams as strong as that one almost every in any era. For example, the mid 00s:
PG: Planinic, Jaric, Lakovic
SG: Giricek, Rakocevic
SF: Stojakovic, Nachbar
PF: Vujcic, Smodis, Radmanovic
C: Krstic, Kasun

And I don't think they would be a lock for medal at the world stage by any means: USA, Spain and France at full strength not only could beat them, but it's not even clear they are stronger than Spain and France.

Peri Antic sucks IMO. Big body who just jacks low percentages 3s. Was never a fan.
